SOURCE: Haier Stainless SteelDishwasher HDP18PA not washing dishes

Hard water is the reason for the spots. There is a new product out at www.dishwasherfilter.com that is made specifically to fix this problem. It filters the water going only into your dishwasher leaving your dishes spot free with every load. It is very affordable and guaranteed to work or your money back. You will love the way your dishes look after the very first load.

SOURCE: Our Haier HDC1804TW counter-top dishwasher

Since mine does the very same thing, it's my guess that is the sterilising cycle as by this point it has already washed, done a short fill to remove any remaining detergent, and two rinses. I'm also assuming the second short fill is just to cover the heating element and/or to to generate an amount of steam having being heated by the element (I'm basing that assumption on the heat of the dishes at the end of end of the cycle and the heat of the water when it drains)

Whirpool dishwasher ADPS 5540 shows F8 E1 after 30 minutes

turn off the water and remove the hose at the rear of the machine. Inside you will find a small wire gauze strainer. This blocks with limescale and debris from the water mains, just enough to reduce water flow below the thresholds..

E1 F8 Whirlpool dishwasher If F8 E1 or LF (too long to fill) appears in display, it means the washer is taking too long to fill. It's possible the drain hose extends more than 4.5" (114 mm) into standpipe.

Dishwasher is beeping and showing code E4

There really isn't a standard for dishwasher error codes. Need to know the manufacturer and model number to proceed. This could be a fault with the float in the fill or overflow sensing that there's too much water. You might try removing the water and letting the machine dry out. Could be too much suds from combo cheap detergent and rinse agent.

Problem with dishlex dx302

I know what the problem is.

The 10 error relates to a water inlet problem. In my case the water was going in, but after about a minute it would display the error code and beep.

I knew the computer would sense for the incoming water and if it doesn't sense the water entering I assumed it goes into the error. There are two water pressure switches near the wash cavity base on the right side (looking from the front) which do the sensing. Each has a hose going from the switch to the sump at the bottom of the wash cavity.

At first I checked each pressure switch with a multimeter. I removed each hose from the sump andI gently blew into each hose while watching the multimeter. An audible click can be heard and the meter showed the switch closed indicating both pressure switches were OK.

Next I reconnected each hose to the sump and removed the other end from each pressure switch. A gentle blow into each revealed one hose connection to the sump was blocked. The blockage prevents the water level from activating the pressure switch at the appropiate time. The other sump hose connection was OK.

With an air compressor I blew compressed air back up the hose and into the sump on the blocked side. I lay the dish washer onto the left side to make it easier and to ensure the blockage would not remain in the sump when blown out. A clump of food scum was cleared from the sump with the compressed air.

Put it all back together and I don't need to wash by hand again and I have one happy wife.

Kenwood Slimline Dishwasher KDW8ST2A

I have a Kenwood Kdw8st2a and have been constantly plagued by the E4 overfill error.

Lifting the front of the dishwasher and tilting it backwards seemed to clear the E4 error only for it to come back after the next wash.

I found eventually that the connection to the U bend under the sink was too narrow and was almost blocked hence the dishwasher was not emptying properly.

I disconnected the dishwasher waste pipe and ran the waste into a bucket for about 6 cycles and it worked fine.

Eventually drilled through the kitchen wall and fitted a lower direct waste pipe to the drain. Overkill maybe buit it hasn't done an E4 since.
