More likely to have shorted out SWITCH MODE POWER SUPPLY IC, very common in this power supply. You can replace the power supply or buy a repair kit for this power supply on EBAY.
You should at least finr out if your are getting the 12vdc at the power supply output connector.

If you need a driver for a dell monitor you need to go to dell's web site & find it or if you got the monitor new it should have come with a disk. Normanally yoiu dont need said driver it should install automaticly

Have 21 inch monitor dell st2210,mi problem is everythink desapere from the screen and later come back,lock picture is in the center of the monitor al the time i have 1 year waranty i call dell speak to...

Connect the monitor to some different computer, e.g., a laptop, to verify that the monitor is working.
If not, take it back to DELL/STAPLES, and get them to check it out, or to exercise the "warranty" to get it repaired/replaced.

Dell 1704FPT won't come on at all. Only the sound

Check connection integrity at both ends of the video cable
Ensure the monitor and computer are plugged in to a working electrical outlet
Ensure power button depressed fully
Press the input select button the front of the monitor and ensure the correct input source is selected
Increase brightness & contrast controls
Perform monitor self-test feature check
Check for bent or broken pins
Re-boot your computer and monitor.

if your purchase just the monitor on 2/28/200, normally dell gives 3 years warranty for the monitor If purchased Separately.

OK.. try doing this call Dell.. 18004563355.. JUST give them the serial number of the monitor ONLY they'll check it out then if your lucky they'll send you a replacement.
