Hi,
I'm having a problem with my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T10 having horizontal lines going through the image & the LCD screen. (see image below) I bought this camera in '06 and the other day it all of a sudden started doing this(I didn't drop it, get it wet, etc.). The weird thing is, it randomly goes back to normal, but if I turn the camera off & on, it does this again! I know its not a problem with the LCD, because the pictures turn out like this when downloaded to the computer. Could this be a CCD sensor issue?
I'm asking for help because I don't plan on sending this in for repair ($150 flat rate) I would actually like to try and fix it myself using parts from the same camera with only a broken LCD. Any help or advice is appreciated!
I am having the exact same problem with my camera. Did you fix the problem and how?
SOURCE: How do I get a date on my pictures
t does not appear in the user manual and looking on some forums, it will only put the date on the print and not saved with the image - to print the image with date you can do it with a docking station or some additional details - but cant find the full details

Unfortunately, that's the only place the serial number appears unless you have the original box.

Yeah, but they are appearing that way when I take it.
thanks for the response...I replaced the CCD and the camera works perfectly now.
I do yearbook for our school. I had the same problem- sent it to sony, because there was a recall with their cameras with this problem. Thought I would get it fixed if sent in- they told me was not part of the recall problem, and it would cost me $141.00 to fix. The camera was only $200.00 School said buy a new camera. Now my personal kodak is doing this- it was dropped by a student- so if you have found an answer to the problem that you can pass on, without sending it in, please let me know.
Thanks!
