Scratches could anything get rid of scratches

Most DVD Players may support even scratched DVDs, as far as CDs are concerned, if got Deep Scratches, they become useless, but check before trying to get rid of CDs also.

How to Fix Scratched CD

I'm assuming the pillar is white and therefore transferred the paint onto your car. I've fixed this issue before with my Mothers RX350.

Clean any dirt from the area. Take a mild rubbing compound and rub in the direction of the scratch marks. It's a bit labor intensive, but after a few minutes you should see some improvement. If the scratch marks disappear, follow up with a polish wax to get rid of any mild scratches from the rubbing compound.
If the pillar actually removed paint from your vehicle, the best bet is to take your car into a body shop to get an estimate on repairs.

common, take the game to GameCrazy. They have an insane machine that cleans scratches. For $2 they will get rid of 98% of the scratch making it playable.

There is A product for repairing scratches on CD's and DVD's. It is a wax type pencil that fills the scratch then "polishes" it away. It will not take it away completely, but should make it bearable. I Did the samething with my first widescreen. You an pickup this at circuit city for around ten bucks! Let me know how helpful this was! Good Luck!

Often disc drives don't realize they have something wrong in them. They tend to wear out very fast and the only signs that they have worn out are functional (problems like yours) and physical (weird noises, etc). Now, this isn't the only possibility, your cables may also be loose, in which case I recommend you open your case and check them. If anything is loose, push it back in. Or maybe your discs are dirty and covered in scratches, make sure you keep all discs as clean as possible (as far as scratches, it's hard to get rid of those).

Have you tried a really fine steel wool? I don't know if this would work. I have stainless steel farmhouse sink, front exposed all stainless steel. My contractor scratched it up horribly when he was putting it into the kichen. he fixed it amazingly with a fine steel wool pad. I don't know if your scratch is too deep for that but it couldn't hurt. The scratches on our sink were surface but very noticeable. Hope this helps.

you can try toothpaste. use on the scratched areas in a circular motion for around 5 minutes. This can reduce, and remove scratches from plastic, and even glass. Wipe of with a clean soft fabric or tissue paper lightly moistened.

Another solution is scratch-out. Which is used to repair spiderweb scratches in the clearcoat on automobiles. This is a polymer coating on cars. Your screen is also a polymer. follow the directions carefully, and don't get too aggressive with it. If it doesn't work, what you lost?
