My monitor is frozen. I can't view anything. It doesn't turn iff either. It was working fine till about a minute ago, when the screen went blank and wouldn't turn back on. I still see a green power light on the monitor, but nothing else is working? We just bought this product three weeks ago.

Go to Control Panel, (top right View Small Icons). Then look for Power Options. On this page, you'll have the option to leave the monitor on. You should also check "Advanced Power Options". Don't be afraid of the word, "Advanced." It only means "customizeable"
If your mouse isn't waking your monitor, try the keyboard's space bar. I found it works better than the mouse at waking a sleeping computer
Since you have tried another monitor with your computer, then we can only assume that your LCD monitor had gone bad. If the light is green but you can't see anything on the screen, then most likely the backlight has gone bad. Unless you want to take the monitor apart, I would suggest buying a new monitor.
can you see anything on the screen at all? Look very closely at the screen from different angles under a strong light and see if you can see a faint image on it. If you do it means the back-light is not turning on which is usually a failed inverter board (cheap and easy fix). If you can't see anything at all on the screen then either the cable is not seated properly or is bad (not very common) or the screen itself went out (more expensive repair)
same problem, broke my screen, ordered a new screen off ebay and replaced it. now it works fine most of the time but sometimes external display freezes. sometimes goes black, sometimes goes multicolor pixelated (full screen, in blocks, or lines) when this happens sometimes touchpad still works, others not. removing battery usualy temporarily fixes.
unplug everything from your laptop unplug the power from the laptop close it and turn it over remover the battery open and hold the on button(battery is still removed) for a 10 count, replace the battery
turn on you can plug the power cord if needed the prob. should be fixed
I used to repair LCD monitor from
Dell. It works for me. You might be using these following steps to examine what
is the problem of your LCD monitor. After you turned PC on and monitor stopped
working or went blank, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen
or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best
angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or
any image (Start menu), there will be a minor problem. This is because of CCFL
lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace.
You don't need to do anything with the inverter board in this case. If you
cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter
board. Hope this help!! If anything I can help you with, feel free to let me
know.
Thank you,
The Samsung YP-F1 has a reset button located under the black Samsung cover plate. It can be gently removed via a finger nail or mini flat blade screwdriver. Once plate is removed a hole labeled reset will be seen. Use something like a paper clip and press in. MP3 will power down/reset. MP3 data is also retained after reset.
