It seems unlikely as if the motor brushes were worn I would expect problems making the motor turn at all. It would seem that a number of owners have had the same problem and it is due to the load sensor thinking that the load is not even. If it thinks the machine will be subject to excessive vibration it stops the spin progressively. I don't know how the machine checks for uneven load, there must be a vibration sensor, maybe it gets worn and needs replacing, but I suggest you redistribute the load and spin again. Make sure the machine is level and not rocking. Also have a look here Please rate my reply thank you.

WFS1073DD front load WASHING MACHINE Everything works but will not spin fast enough to spin the water out. It spins very slow

Early automatic washers used a motor with multiple windings to provide the various speeds required by different parts of each wash programme. Modern washers use an entirely different sort of motor and the speeds are selected and controlled electronically with feedback to ensure the speed is correct.

I suspect the problem is the electronics - the part of the programmer and controller that regulates the motor speed but you should check the motor and motor brushes, the drive belt and all electrical connections as a matter of best practice before you spend money...

If the brushes are less than 3 or 4 mm long, then they need replacing.
If still no spin , but washes o/k, then the high speed part of the motor windings could be faulty, which entails replacing the motor.

Operates correctly on all wash, rinse, soak cycles but does no spin

Check the door switch, if it's faulty the spin cycle will not work, but everything else will.

Error F 04

im not up to speed with the codes. BUT if you are able to open the door this suggests the bulk of the water has pumped away, so I suspect motor or belt problems. Can you hear the motor spinning when it should be? ie on spin cycle. If not suspect carbon brushes in motor, or even a broken/burned out wire to motor. Replace belt if broken
