SOURCE: sansa e250 getting worse since "upgrade"

Format your player and re-transfer your songs. The best way to format the player is by changing the player to MSC, then connect it to your computer and open My Computer and right-click and format the player remove the quick format then click start. :D

SOURCE: CAN'T DELETE EXISTING MUSIC FILES TO CREATE ROOM FOR NEW MUSIC FILES

Ouch! The solution I just found DID reformat and it DID clear off the files that I could not erase. But it took away the version info, so now the updater (http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe) does not work and while the files I could not erase are gone and the 250e is nice and clean, will I need the updater in the future and be unable to use it?

SOURCE: my sansa clip won't play the songs I loaded on!

I've had this happen a couple of times in the last 6 months. You can get it to play again by chosing the format option from the settings menu. Of course, then you've lost everything you had loaded on to it. Download your music/audio books again and they will play.

follow the instructions below to get the sansa firmware updater to make sure that the firmware for your payer is updated automatically:
METHOD 1 - Download and manually update the Sansa m200

NOTE: The manual update does NOT support firmware version 4.X.XXX. Refer to METHOD 2 if the firmware on your Sansa m200 is either 4.X.XXX.

Not enough room for music database please free 4 mb

The device needs at least 4MB of free space.

You need to keep deleting files until there is 4MB less than the total capacity of the device.

Its not syncing because the device is too full.

If removing the 4MB doesnt work. Try formatting the device thru My Computer>Device Name (m200)>Right Click and select FORMAT.

Best of Luck.

Deleteing songs

You can delete them thru My Computer. Double click on the Sansa (m200), inside you will see a Music Folder. Inside is your individual tracks, separated by album names. You can add or delete all music from here. Best of Luck.

Sansa m200 won't fast forward

Unfortunately, this device does not support bookmarking. You are going to always have this problem. You may want edit the song into individual chapters. You can download a third party application to auto create them every few minutes or so. Best of Luck.

Can't delete my music!

If you are able to use the Sansa Updater with your player, try formating it and using the updater to fix the things that are wrong with it. To format your player: 1) Goto "My Computer" and and right click your player's icon. 2) Move down the little menu that pops up when you right click it to "Format..." 3) Then, "Quick Format" it. 4) Then unplug your player from your PC. To download the Sansa Updater: 1) Click this link: http://sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376 2) Follow the instructions to install it. To get it to work: with most PC's it should load up all by it self when you plug it in if it is in a MSC mode or if it does it in a regular mode. (I have had no experience with this model only the newer Sansa models) NOTE: If you have Windows Vista, the updater will NOT work. You will need to contact th company through their website to get a different version of the updater. Good Luck! I hope this will help you in fixing your player. Have a nice day.

Problem

Have you tried removing the battery? Or maybe your battery is low. As well, if your mp3 player isn't turned on when you plug it in, that seems to affect if the computer recognizes it.
