SOURCE: sansa e250 getting worse since "upgrade"
Format your player and re-transfer your songs. The best way to format the player is by changing the player to MSC, then connect it to your computer and open My Computer and right-click and format the player remove the quick format then click start. :D

ok the only thing you have to do is to press the power/menu button for 20 seconds and after that your sansa will turn off, then turn it on and enjoy!
SOURCE: CAN'T DELETE EXISTING MUSIC FILES TO CREATE ROOM FOR NEW MUSIC FILES
Ouch! The solution I just found DID reformat and it DID clear off the files that I could not erase. But it took away the version info, so now the updater (http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe) does not work and while the files I could not erase are gone and the 250e is nice and clean, will I need the updater in the future and be unable to use it?
SOURCE: unable to play all songs downloaded on sansa clip
You have to resyhnchroize within Rhapsody itself to make the message go away.
SOURCE: my sansa clip won't play the songs I loaded on!
I've had this happen a couple of times in the last 6 months. You can get it to play again by chosing the format option from the settings menu. Of course, then you've lost everything you had loaded on to it. Download your music/audio books again and they will play.
