Try to continue to plug the charger but also press and hold the power and home button at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until you see the ipod restart.
once the battery dies completely...plug it to pc (itunes should pop up also) , when itunes comes up check for update of ipod it might need it....this shall stop the ipod from freezing up...have fun and enjoy
Try resetting the ipod while its connected to the computer by holding both the menu and center button at the same time for 6-10 seconds until you see an apple appear on the screen. You may need to repeat the reset. If this fails your looking at a hardware issue most likely. Good Luck.
idk if dis will work it dus for mine wat hapens is when the ipod isnt ative for such a while it goes into safe mode so its pretty much like an automatic lock to turn it on hold down the play and the middle button until u see a dim apple on the screen this restarts ur ipod dont worry everything will still b there songs pics games movies and anything else
You need to reset your ipod. Flip the hold switch on then off, then press select button and menu button at same time. Hold for 10 seconds or so. Ipod should shut off and reboot to apple screen. If this doesn't work first time try again. This should solve any stuck screen problems. Mine was stuck on pioneer screen and this operation fixed it.
Has the battery been charged lately? If not, try charging it first and then try to turn it on. If that is not the case your ipod probably just needs to be reset. Try pressing the center button with the menu button together and hold those two buttons together for about 6-10 seconds. You should get an apple icon that comes on before you will see your menu for your applications.
