Please re-fit your new cartridge securely while disconnect the power. It seem your cartridge is not in correct place. Check also all wires for loose connection

Most likely the new cartridge is defective. Most cartridges contain chips and these are occasionally bad. See if the retailer will exchange it for you.
Make sure that the cartridges were not dislodged or that contaminants have made there way up onto the contacts. Also ensure that your using carts with part number 69 for all four or (68 on black if using hi cap)
#14 black #15 color it has to be lexmark ink only...it will not accept any others.....if you have a walmart where you stay at they should have a little machine by the ink cartridges....use that...that is where i got this info from and my printer is printing just fine
If you already have tried reseating all of the inks and and inks are still not recognized, Please contact Epson tech support for a replacement ink or if they find out after some diagnostics that it is the printer that is having an issue they would be replacing your printer.
You say you have refilled the ink carts. Have you reset the chip on the cartridges? If not the chip will still report the printer that the carts are empty.
