SOURCE: Time & date

What could be happening is the you mother board is bad already. Usually digital cameras like computers use a button cell battery inside to keep the bios in memory or the board uses the installed batteries to keep the bios in memory but at a very slow power consuption rate. Everything comes down to pretty much a bad circuit somewhere that is causing memory lost and high consuption of battery power.

Also i've noticed that a lot of people with this camera is having the same problem. This called be because of mass production you all could have a bad batch. Meaning your cameras came off the assembly line around the same time.

SOURCE: Setting Date/Time on Polaroid a530

I contacted Polaroid help desk and they were clueless. They said there is no way to set the time after messing around with the camera for 10 minutes.

When you pull the photos off the camera it does record a date and time. I believe they forgot to add the option in the setup menu so you cannot get to it. I asked for them to send me a differant camera and the help desk rep laughed.

I guess thats what I get for buying a cheap camera.

You may want to set the factory defaults by going into the main maenu.

My polaroid camera won't eject the film. Are the cameras broken or is the battery dead?

When you take a picture of darkness, are you using flash or uprating the film ?
More seriously, as the film is thirteen years out of date, I seriously doubt if it is still viable. The chemicals within the film pack will have deteriorated over time, and it is my guess that they may well have leaked into the film pack's internal mechanism, thus preventing the photos being ejected. Try again with fresh film.

How to change date and time for Polaroid i531

Press the menu button, scroll sideways (press lightening icon) to Setup (tools icon), then down (disp) to highlight date and time. Press Set or the lightening icon to select the date and time setting, then press disp or the opposite upper part of the rocker to change the numbers, and the lightening or flower to move between the various date and time settings. Press Set when you are through.

If you leave the battery out of the camera for 48 hours, you will be invited to set the date and time at the next switch on.

You can download a manual for a similar camera, the i1036, at polaroid.com, but there does not seem to be a manual for this specific camera there. Try THIS LINK

Can't get the Date off the Pictures

First you have to go to the set up menu and set the correct time and date, then you can go back to the settings and select OFF for time and date. If you do not set the correct time and date , that default date stays in the picture.

Date & Time will not stay current

same thing happened to me too! lol. However after you press the menu button and click "default setting", go set your date and time again. Then turn the camera off. Turn it back on and you will find that the date/time is correct!
