KENMORE WASHER HAS ERROR CODE 5D DURING RINSE CYCLE. PUT THROUGH CLEAN CYCLE AND STILL HAPPENING. CLOTHES COMING OUT TOO WET

That code is SD (suds). The code is the same for many washing machine manufacturers. This code usually means that too much detergent was used. It can also mean that a regular detergent was used in a HE machine. An extra rinse and spin cycle might help. One option is to do a wash cycle with no items in the washer or a cleaning cycle. This may remove excess detergent that has built-up over time. If the error persists when the washer is run when empty, the motor or the drain pump are working improperly. First check the drain pump filter and drain line for any foreign objects. If that area is clear, then you probably have a problem with drive hub for the washer (or another part of the wash basket spin hardware).

With a Kenmore machine, the machines were made by a variety of manufacturers. Thus the locations of the drain pump filter and the wash basket spin mechanism to check for issues will depend on the machine prefix. Please add a comment with the full model number including the 3 digit prefix, if you want a parts diagram and other information to help solve this problem.

I hope this gets you started.

Kenmore washing machine not empyting all the way during the rinse cycle? the machine washes fine but not empyting all the water during the rinse cycle?

Does it go into high speed spin? If it does and there is still water than check to see if the filter or hoses are clogged. The hoses the run from your basket to the pump and the drain hose too. A washer is only given so much time to drain all the water. Most of the time the filter or coin trap hose is clogged. If everything is clear u may have a weak pump.

My washer is leaking from the detergent tray.

There is a hose to the tray so it can rinse the detergent inside the machine. The hose can leak, sometimes there is a seal on the tray that can leak also

Won't complete cycle, stops at rinse. and can't get hot water.

Are you on well water? turn off the cold water to the washer and clean the screen filter out. do not leave filter out.
the machine probably has a cold only final rinse so it won't work properly.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Spin cycle does'nt work.

you have a bad basket drive on the washer and with a coldspot the problem will most likely be your defrost timer
