Hi, I received my airconditioner as a mother's day present last year and it's worked beautifully. Until now... All of a sudden I can hear the compressor running but the unit isn't putting out cold air. On June 28th we had a party and someone was messing with it while trying to redirect the vent. The unit was then turned off for the day.We then went on vacation the next day for a week. When I turned it on yesterday, it stopped blowing cold air. Could my friend have messed something up when fiddling with it? Please help. Unfortunately I can't afford to have a repair person out and I have 2 little kids so I have to try to fix this myself. Check to see if the filter is clogged,or check to see they didnt open the vent that brings in outside air,the air coming out should be 15 degrees cooler than the air in your house
If the compressor is running and not cooling and the fan is blowing then you probably have a leak in your system and have lost your freon consult your owners manuel for second thru fifth year warranty as the sealed system has an extended warranty and contact frigidaire cousmer service for further help sorry
Try the following to begin operating the air conditioner: 1. Plug in the air conditioner. (To prevent electrical hazards, do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug.) 2. Set the exhaust vent to the CLOSED position. 3. Press “On/Off” button to turn unit on. 5. Press Mode “COOL” 6. Press “TEMP/TIME” up or down V to the desired set temperature. Review the “Air Conditioner Features” section for other settings
