Regarding a problem with ikea whirlpool dwf 407. The dishwasher is about 4 year old. Most of the times when we use it it works perfectly until about the last 1/4, then it starts beeping once for stopping, waits 5 seconds and starts again, only to stop again within 1-2 seconds (sometimes also immediately), this goes on for a couple of minutes until the work resumes and finish with no other problem. When opening the dishwasher in this phase it is full of water but if manages to drain it with no problem in other phases of the same program and also when calling the wash program, so I think the problem is not with draining. It seems more like there is no problem (nothing blinks in an unusual way) but that the dishwasher has difficulties continuing the program. I wanted to ask if anybody has any idea and if the dishwasher works mechanically by switching from one state of the program to the other, then maybe this mechanical part needs cleaning (and if this is the case, does anybody have any idea of how to do that?) Ronald...the beep sound itself indicates an issue with the membrane switch (control panel) and it should be replaced. I believe that the pump and motor is fine as its just beeping and doing nothing else. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

DWF 415 Ikea Whirlpool Dishwasher has constant green blinking light. Drain pump works ok (as it will pump out a jug of water if I tip it into it!) but no water comes in. Cycle stops about 30 seconds after thre is no more water to pump. Any ideas on how to fix?

a worn film capacitor on the circuit board is the cause of the problem which often manifests itself after several years using the dwf 407. Replacing the film capacitor on the circuit board is the solution! Such a capacitor costs about GBP 2. The removal of the circuit board that is in the door is not very difficult, four torque screws along the inside top of the door (not the two for the door lock) a click system in which the print is stuck in the door. On the print are a few connectors with wires to loosen-take picture or mark them for reassembly purposes. There are several types of DWF 407, sometimes the print is slightly different. But the culprit is always the big gray block. The value that you must have is 250/275 V 1,5UF. Many electronics stores have them or can order them. Soldering you can do yourself if you have some experience or ask your local handyman. It is not very difficult, you have plenty of space on the board and only two feet soldering required. After that my dishwasher was as new at the fraction of the price
