So the lines goes up and down or is it across from side to side, if it's side to side then it's your terminal power board.

probably there is a losse connection on the t-con board connector of your tv to repair it you need to open the enclosure of the tv try to reinforce the connector or you can replace the board to eliminate the error

probably needs new scan drive board along with upper and lower buffer boards. it wont be cheap and its best to have a tv shop do it.

Vertical, pencil-thin blue line appears after 10 minutes of viewing (any source)

I would suspect a connection breaking down as the set heats up. A shop will probably have to put the set in a stand to hold it while they check for loose connections or defective components inside. Not a DIY job by any means. If this line went completely through the picture either vertically or horizontally and stayed there then this would have indicated a failure in the Panel itself. A thin Line any where on the screen consisting of one pixel in width is a Panel Failure according to Hitachi.
