Got this watch for xmas, nice. the band is too big. how do i adjust the metal band?

U can have ur watch to the watch shop they may make it short fitting on ur hand

The best way is to take it to a watch shop and have the jewler remove the necessary links abot ten buck job. You can also use Invicta site to have them do the job. Usually watch manufacturers have a need to know site that tells you how to do it, but I don't se one on Invicta.

If I adjust the band length to fit my wrist, I can't get my hand through the band to put it on. Any way to make the band smaller but the clasp larger so it will go over my hand? DOn't have this issue with...
If its a metal band they usually have adjustable links and the clasp will also adjust.

Take it in to your local watch repair shop, they have the required tools in most cases to make the adjustment.

Watch strap a little big
mcdevito75 here, Maybe a link or 2 can be reoved from the metal band, or an adjustment at the clasp can be done. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area, they can help.

mcdevito75 here, Best bet since you would need a couple of tools to adjust the band size is to look for a small watch repair shop in your area to save on the cost, the cost of a shop to adjust the band is about the same as the tools needed, since these adjustments are in frequent let the watch repiar shop do the job.

Remove links on this watch
Most bands have removable links on the end of the band. You can tell because they have small holes on the side to remove the pins that hold them together. The links that don't have holes are not removable. This is standard on most metal bands.

Adjust ladies citizen watch metal link band
If it is a metal link band, you can remove a few segments. Segments are connected by split pens. You should see a thinner end and a bigger end; or an arrow on the inside shows where the thinner end should be. Push the thinner end firmly with a pin or something until the big end pops out the opposite side.Use pliers to remove the pin.

Adjusting mesh band
Take a small flathead screwdriver, or maybe a metal nail file and pry up the catch.DO NOT pry up by placing the tool on the rod used for hooking the clasp side to this side. Just stick in the metal piece that is folded over ( it should have a little notch in it) and pry it up. If you still don't understand I will be glad to send you a picture later on today. PLEASE let me know either way!!
