I used the easy off oven cleaner fume free on my cold crud filled oven, left it for four hours before hot sponge cleaning it THEN, turned on the self cleaning option for the first time assuming it would clean up anything I missed. It stinks so bad in my house now like carbon monoxide or something very hazardous to be breathing up! Is that why they say not to use that option together??? I can imagine what it could do to our health ;-( yuckk!

My husband sprayed the non-fume Easy-Off oven spray into our KitchenAid self-cleaning oven. Then turned IT ON TO CLEAN! It was on for about 1/2 hour. There are instructions all over the can NOT to turn...

The best thing to do is with a cold oven, go ahead and use the Easy-Off non fume again and wait 2 hours. This should remove the original grease as well as the left over Easy Off from the 1st application.

We have a kitchenaid superba oven glas top and i like to clean it but i do not know how can you help me e-mail me at

Purchase a cleaning spray. Easy-Off Glass Cleaner, Windex or Drackett Glass Cleaner are all available from local department or grocery stores. You could also use dishwashing soap. Any non-abrasive, bacteria or grease removal product would clean glass cooktops.

Spray the whole cooktop area. Allow the cleaner to sit for about 2 minutes. If you have stuck-on food, spray only that portion of the cooktop. Let the liquid sit for approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

Use hot water. Soak your sponge and wring it out. Wipe down the glass cooktop. Carefully scrub the stuck-on food. Run the sponge over the spot area at least 20 times to remove the food. Wring out the sponge and rub the remaining portion of the glass countertop

Use a terry cloth rag to wipe down the cooktop. This will remove excess water and soap.

if you have any further questions please message me back and please remember when our chat is concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again Rick

How to clean the oven

The inside of the oven can be cleaned with regular soap and water. Dawn works well on built up grease. if you have very stubborn stains easy off makes a low fume oven cleaner, but try hot soapy water first. the outside can be cleaned with any stainless steel cleaner or window cleaner.

I bought a used 27" Thermadore double oven off Craigslist. (Loves me some Craigslist.) SS, convection, electric. Sticker on side indicates it was manufactured in 2001. I can't find the tag with model...

If Thermador kept the tag information in the same place, look at the bottom of or just below the control panel (front left hand side of the control panel (when facing the oven) where the cabinet curves).

The oven cleaners can damage the finish and parts of the self-clean oven. The damage may cause the oven to fail sooner than it would otherwise.

If you have a small spill that you want to clean without using the self-clean cycle, on a painted surface, use soapy water or Fantastick or Formula 409 applied to a clean sponge or paper towel and then wipe clean. If the spill is on a porcelain surface, wait until the oven is cool and use Bon-Ami or Soft Scrub on a clean sponge. Then rinse clean. For stubborn dirt, use a soap filled pad.

    I hope this helps.

    How to self clean oven

If it has a self clean feature, you can set that feature to self clean. If it does not, you can use Easy Off oven cleaner. You should turn the breaker off to the oven first. Lay newspaper on the floor around the oven to catch drips and spray the entire oven. Let it sit for a few hours and use your vent hood to elimnate fumes, then wipe out with an old cloth. Hope this helps and answers your question. Ella

simple green. it's non-toxic and biodegradable, so it's ok to use around food, and it works graet on heavy grease. but if all else fails, use easy-off oven cleaner.
