REPLACED THE LAMP ..... A RED LIGHT ON THE FRONT PANEL TO THE LEFT OF THE GREEN ON LIGHT APPEARS. THE TV DOES NOT COME ON. ANY SOLUTIONS?

Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

The tv projection lamp been inside the tv like 1 1/2 or 2 years already,used tv every day like 4 or 5 hours a daily?The Lamp life are ended.Time to replaced the tv projection Lamp.

It appears that the projection lamp needs to be replaced.

Outside of the lamp failing, the main exhaust fan on the Left side facing the back of the set is common to fail, the set shuts down. But when this happen it always causes the red led on the front of the set to blink a code. If the green led continues to blink, I would inspect the lamp, if appears to be ok, reinstall it making sure that the inner door latch for the lamp is secure and tight.
When looking at the lamp, pay attention to the the bottom of the lamp stem where the bubble is. If you see a discolored, bulged out area on the bubble, the lamp is bad. I have seen this happen even on new lamps from Sony.

Hi,
Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655.
Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen.
Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure.
Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem.
Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years?

My television had two red lights flashing, one for Temp and the other for the lamp. I removed mythe lamp assembly and the bulb filament was burnt out. I order a new lamp and housing unit UX21517 and replaced it and now I have the red light flashing which is calling out the lamp again.

check your lamp, should be a lamp led lit on front of TV

IF THE GREEN LIGHT IS FLASHING, THE LAMP COVER HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED PROPERLY. AFTER PUSHING IN THE LAMP SCREW IT DOWN THEN YOU ALSO HAVE TO REPLACE THE BLACK COVER AND SCREW IT IN AS WELL, I ASSUME IT IS BLACK ON ALL MODELS, THEN I REPLACED THE PANEL IN FRONT OF THE LAMP COVER. I DID THIS AND THE GREEN FLASHING LGTS WENT AWAY AND TV CAME BACK.

Could you show a picture of the distended cover you mentioned?

 

Were the light blue lines you were referring to, diagonal, or truly horizontal?

What are the labels on the lights? Timer/Lamp/Service and what color is wich?
