Well obviously you have tried all the buttons to get of it. It very frustrating I know when people just cant understand your problem like in most cases and they will give you many solutions that don't equate to your question. You cant get of flight mode screen so you can't press any buttons to alter anything. Something is broken. Try another battery at the shop if that don't work scrap it.

Check settings - general - flight mode. It should be set to "Ask on startup" or something similar. Turn the phone off and on again. The flight mode question only comes when you turn the phone back on.

My phone (sony ericsson w995) appears to be stuck in flight mode and when I try switching it off and even taking the battery out it still goes back into flight mode (it gives me the option of not going...

There are 3 things you can do
1. The SIM may be slightly dislodged from the contacts and may need to be put back in firmly.
2. Your SIM may be faulty and may need to be changed.
3. You can do a complete factory reset.
I hope 1 of them will resolve your issue.

Turning flight mode off

This guide shows you how to turn off this irritating Flight Prompt:---------------------------
  1. In the Menu screen click on Settings
  2. In the Settings screen make sure the General tab is selected at the top then scroll down and click on Flight mode
  3. In the Flight mode screen the Show at start-up option is selected. Click on Don't show to change this
The next time you restart your phone you won't be prompted to choose between Phone or Flight mode. To bring back the prompt return to Settings - General - Flight mode and change the option back to Show at start-up.

Thank you Sir, Have a nice day.

Stuck in flight mode

You have to turn the phone off and on, select the startup mode you want, to get out of the flight mode.

No network coverage/can't turn off flight mode

Sounds like your phone is stuck in flight mode for some reason. Have you tried a Master Reset (you will lose all your personal data if you do this).

M600I STUCK IN FLIGHT MODE AND I have hardly any power. In flight mode the batter will not charge.

Do you get the option to select Phone or Flight modes when you power the device on?
If not, you might want to try using the scroll wheel to do the following:
1. Open the Main Menu. (Scroll to it & then push the scroll wheel in to select.)
2. Open Control Panel, then Device, then Flight mode. ("Prompt me with the Phone on or Flight mode choice..." is displayed.)
3. If the checkbox is unmarked, select it.
4. Save.
5. Power off and then on. The choice should enable you to activate Phone mode.

I hope this helps.
