I hooked up all the connections in the right ports, i also hooked up all the speaker's in there right connections but when i turn on the surroundsound i'm only getting the front speakers and the sub wolfer to work. There is no manual for it that I can find. There is for the 3917 and for the 395. There is a listing on eBay for one in a box and has the manual for $30.
Your regular TV set must be able to process the surround encoding through its output to where the Durabrand is taking the sound from.
Also, if you are using the TV set on a converter, Cable Box, or Sat receiver, and you are not taking the output from the component output there will be no surround from the source.
Surround sound is critical to how it is processed and applied.
There are no codes you program into the remotes unless they are learning remotes. If you did the manual search for the code, then the universal remote will not work on that unit I'm afraid. You see you are not entering the code into the remote when you push the numbers the book tells you to. What you are doing is accessing the pre programed codes that are already programed into the remote. You cannot add any codes for universal remotes unless like I said before, they are called learning type remotes. Those cost loads of cash. Good Luck
