You think that's bad, your Shift key is broken too, for capital letters; and your spacebar is broken.

One: How did you install the Epson TX300f?

The FIRST thing to do is to get Windows running, and then put the Epson Installation Disk in your optical drive. (CD/DVD drive)

Install the drivers, and the software.

THEN plug the USB cable from the Epson into the computer, and turn the Epson on.

If you didn't install the software, or installed AFTER you plugged the Epson into the computer, this = NO

Why?

Because when a new device is hooked up to your computer, Windows 'breaks it's neck' to find suitable, matching drivers.

If THE drivers are not there, Windows will match up one of it's THOUSANDS of generic drivers.
This = No.

IF you hook up the Epson to the computer first, and turn it on; THEN come back and install the software, you will get a Driver Conflict.
Crudely explained;

Windows: "Which drivers do I use? These or THESE?"

Driver: Small piece of software that allows the Operating System to communicate with a device

The device is the Epson TX300f.
The Windows operating system wasn't stated.

If you installed the software first, then the Espon, you should have Epson listed in your All Programs menu.
I have an Epson also. Epson Stylus CX4800

I am using Windows XP (Home)

I click on Start, hover my mouse cursor on All Programs, and over to the right. If I want to scan I click on Epson Scan.

Need me to go further I can if you wish.

To summarize;

Did you install the software first, THEN plugged the USB cable of the Epson to the computer, and turned the Epson on?
