Hi, the slide out shelf in my Dacor ECS 127 was left in during a cleaning cycle and now it sticks and is difficult to pull out with food on the shelf, any ideas? Or do I need to buy new shelves?

I don't see the make and model number of your unit. I only see part of your post. Please post the make and model number. It should be a simple fix. From what I do see in your post, it sounds like the control board will need to be replaced. Regards,Richard
How to CLEAN a Frigidaire Self-Cleaning Oven Step 1Use a plastic spoon to scrape away any extra spillovers or burnt-on food from inside the oven. Remove as much of this as you can before running the self-cleaning cycle, because any spillovers left in the oven during the cleaning cycle may cause a lot of smoke.
Step 2Wipe off the inside of the oven with a rag dipped in soapy water. Be careful not to get any cleaning supplies on the oven door gasket or to disrupt the position of the gasket at all; having a good seal is critical to the success of the oven's self-cleaning cycle.
Step 3Clean any soil away from the oven frame and its door liner with a rag dipped in soapy water. Any soil left on these parts of the oven may become burned on during the self-cleaning cycle.
Step 4Pull the broiler pan and grid, any utensils, and any tin foil that may have been left in the oven out of it. They can't withstand the extreme temperatures the self-cleaning oven will reach. It's okay to leave the oven racks in the oven.
Step 5Make sure the oven door is completely closed.
Step 6Press the "CLEAN" button on the control pad. Use the up and down arrows to select the desired cleaning time; use 2 hours for a lightly soiled oven and 3 or 4 hours for a dirtier oven. The oven will lock itself and begin the cleaning cycle.
Step 7Wait for the cycle to end and the oven to cool; it will then unlock itself automatically. Don't try to open the oven door before it has unlocked itself.
Yes , there is a cooling fan located at the top of the oven
It could be the fan blades catching, or a noisy fan bearing.
You would have to access it by removing the top oven cover to check., and yes it could be as a result of having it cleaned.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
If no food or utensils are in oven, put it
into a short self-clean cycle (1-2 hours).
If there is food in the oven, let the oven cool
to room temperature and try to unlatch the door.
With electronic ranges there is a small
chance that turning the circuit
breaker off for a few minutes and turning it back on can release
the door.
latch to the "off"
Note: Do
not force the latch at anytime!
Door Will Not Unlock After Cleaning:
On models with mechanical latches:
Once the oven is cool after a self-clean cycle
(approximately 30-90 minutes), slide the latch over to the left.(Some
older models have a latch release button that must be pushed in while
sliding the latch over.)
Note: Some models with
oven Set and Temperature
knobs must have those knobs set in the Clean position
before the latch can be moved to the left. If your door won't unlock,
try turning those knobs back to Clean, then
slide the latch over.
If the above suggestions do
not work try the following to unlock your door:
Disconnect power to range for 30 seconds.
Reconnect power and see if door will unlatch.
If door does not unlatch, and you do
have food in the oven, wait for oven to cool completely and try again.
If it still will not open you will need service.
If door does not unlatch, and you do
not have food in the oven, set the oven up to clean for 1-2
hours.
Wait approximately 30 minutes and try to unlock the door.
If the door unlocks, the control has reset itself and there
should not be any other problems.
If the door will not unlock or if you would like to schedule
a service appointment, please contact GE Consumer Service at
1-800-432-2737 or schedule a service appointment
on-line.
Note: Under no
circumstances should you ever force the door or latch open.
We were able to unscrew the plate that sits behind the latch. 6 screws I believe. Look towards the middle back-right side you will see a red switch. Click it twice. Before we put plate back we tested oven and it worked!!! Hope this info will help you. Dacor oven has been a real problem and I'm a kitchen designer. Will never recommend Dacor anything to my clients after many oven issues.
I have the same problem with a DACOR ECS 130 and also set the breaker panel switch to OFF to prevent the light from turning on-off or staying on. It might help to unplug the touchpad connector behind the control panel or it may be a problem relay on a circuit board. I've had the problem for several years but will start work on it tomorrow because we do not bake often at my house.
P.S. I'm not an appliance tech but have had problems with the DACOR DM024 microwave( made by SHARP) and the DACOR raised vent. I think DACOR products are junk. The raised vent problem required replacing the entire circuit board!
I have the same problem and sent an e-mail to DACOR. A James Carlos responded and advised that DACOR could not provide DYI info because of liability problems, pure BS in my opinion. I've had problems with a DACOR microwave (manuf. by Sharp), my DACOR wall oven Model ECS103 and my DACOR Raised Vent system and told Mr. Carlos so. I don't know how to fix the blinking oven light other than cutting power at the circuit breaker panel or removing the two light bulbs which other have advised but suspect a new front control panel is required. If you find a fix, please advise me at [email protected]. I think DACOR products are overpriced and junk.
Hi, Dacor has a Technical Manual that may help you with your problem. It has a ECS wall mount oven but does not list a ECPS. Is your listing of the model correct? Here is a link to download the Technical Manual. https://www.scribd.com/doc/14008662/Dacor-Technical-Manual
Hope it helps.
I also have a Dacor Model PCS130. This solution worked AND saved me from spending $50-$105 for a service technician to come out just to look at the problem.
The high temperature sensor tripped when I kept the door open part way while broiling (never listen to friends who don't have the same oven as yours). Afterwards, I couldn't get the oven to go above the prebake temperature of 135°F using any of the settings (bake, broil, convection bake, etc...).
I called Dacor customer service and they told me about the high temperature sensor but wouldn't say how to reset it. They suggested I call a third party technical service company and gave me their numbers. But, I'm glad I found this site...
All you have to do is open the oven door and you'll see the grille/grate/steel cover plate where the door latch sticks out of. If you look inside, you can see the electronics that operate the door latch as well as the temperature sensor unit a little farther back. You can even see the RED reset button. But, it's a little too far back for you to press it without removing the cover plate.
6 screws is what holds my cover plate in place. Once that's off, you can reach in and press the RED reset button (I pressed it twice just to make sure) and you'll hear it click. Screw the cover plate back in place. Close the oven door and test it out.
It took my oven about 5 minutes to heat up past 135°F so I was unsure if the problem was fixed or not during that time. But, once the oven heated up sufficiently, the temperature began climbing fairly quickly and I was able to breath a sigh of relief. It works!
This is such an easy fix, I don't know why Dacor customer support doesn't just tell us how to do it ourselves instead of paying for a service tech to come out and do the same thing. Even better, maybe they should make the reset button more easily accessible (like on the control panel) if they're concerned about people getting in and messing up the other electrical connections when trying to reset the high temperature switch. Computers are far more technically advanced than your oven and THEY have reset/reboot buttons right in front.
