I have a Sanyo VCR/DVD player 7200 series, with progressive scan. I am wanting to purchase some DVD's from Australia, that has a region 4 rating. I need to know if my DVD player will sucessfully be able to play these DEV's??

Region code for sanyo progressive scan 7200

For that you need to do a google for "mymodel region free" or "region free hack"

Not all dvd players are capable of this often very simple modification (usually just involves the remote control and a combination of keys)

Your search will turn up a lot of sharks that want money for the hack

IGNORE THEM

There are a lot of sites where the information is free.

I am unsure of FIXYA's policy on this topic so would prefer not to get my @ss kicked. That is why I gave you the search terms rather than site links

Sanyo dvw 7100 is stuck on progressive scan how do I get it off

You may already have the solution, but I ran into this problem too on my 7200. The way to get it out of progressive is press and hold the play button for 5 seconds. Simple - once you know the answer - I was afraid it would involve navigating through menus you couldn't see.

Hope this Helps.

DVW-7200

The DVD section is set to output as component video / progressive scan. You need to set it to either S or composite video output which is how your VCR is hooked up. Thats why you have no picture.
