Go into 'safe mode'.

When you turn on computer, press F8 every half second.

When options appear, choose Safe Mode.

When in safe mode, go back to last known good configuration by using System restore.

Type system restore into search box to find it.

It will take a few minutes but then choose a date before the problem occured. Click OK

Once it restarts and successfully restores your system, you should find it works OK

Restart the system and keep tapping F8
check whether you are able to take the system into safemode.
if it comes in safemode then download and run programs named as malwarebytes and trojan remover.
if you are not able to get into safemode then try safemode with commandprompt and try a system restore from there.

Warning... continued

Hello Mary,

You seem to be getting what is called, the blue screen of death. This blue screen with white text can be caused by many things and I will provide a link for you to read at the end of this post. After reading the reasons the blue screen of death is occurring their should be some links ( on the site i will link you to) to places that may help.

My suggestion would be to start up in safe mode.
To do that you hit f8 on the computers start up. Then log in to the administrators account and un-install any reciently insatlled programs. ( the ones you installed and after received the blue screen of death.

Restart your computer and log in the normal way. Update everything ( even your drivers). And of course restart.

Once you have your computer working fine wiht outh the blue screen of death then add the programs installed one by one till you find which one is causing it.

AFter that feel free to post back wiht your results and I will be glad to help.

Possible spyware has been detected

Try installing a program called adware, its free and can remove any spyware you may be getting. Try that and then see how it goes, you shouldn't have to run a recovery just for a bit of spyware.

I need ur help again

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially and if I may remark, a very challenging and time consuming virus cleanup. Some that you could try:
  • determine what virus files/names are involved. Some would be appearing in "msconfig" startup;
  • some would not allowed to be deleted, try delete in Safe Mode;
  • in some instances, some services would have to be stopped using Ctrl-Alt-Del;
  • download, install and run RRT (remove restriction tool);
  • download, install and run Ad-Aware.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

I have an alert stating that WARNING SPYWARE HAS BEEN DETECTED ON YOUR COMPUTER

Your computer is infected with malware. You should install an antivirus and at least one antimalware program(the more the better). Once they are installed, make sure they are updated and run a scan with each program individually in safe mode(press f8 at the post screen when you turn on your computer and choose safe mode). A couple good free antivirus programs are AVG and Avast. To name a few good anti malware programs there's Spybot Search and Destroy, Superantispyware, and Lavasoft Adaware. You can also go to www.ewido.com and run an online scan.

How do I get this this message off of my desktop screen. warning! spyware detected on your computer.

You are infected. This is spyware of the worse sort.

What ever you do don't click on the link provided.

1. download adware (free version0, spybot (free version) and CCleaner (also free)

2. don't install yet - re-boot to safe mode. Then install these three.
a. run adware first - keep running till it comes up clean
b. then run spybot - keep running till it comes up clean
c. then run ccleaner - 1st Cleaner till it is clean (run over and over till it does not find any more) - then run its Registry Cleaner - and fix DO NOT BACKUP - run till it finds no more problems.

3. Click on 'my computer' - go to "program files" - list in Date Modified - anything that YOU DID NOT install in the past few days DELELTE the folder.

4. Run CCleaner again (as in step 2c).

Reboot.

When in windows click on Help and Support - Restore computer to earlier time - at least two days before you think this screen 1st came to you.

When done, it should be gone and cleaned.

I've already purchased Norton antivirus 2008 with antispyware and loaded but my screen still blue and shows Warning spyware detected in computer & to install antivirus or spyware wich i did.

That blue screen sounds like a trick to me. Many viruses and spywares or the websites that distribute them make beleive that they are causing viruses then provide links to fake antivirus and spyware removal programs that actually make your system worst.

Use the Norton to purchased to do a full deep scan of your system. I also like to supplement my Norton by running the free scan at housecall.trendmicro.com when I suspect there might be a problem on my machine that Norton can't fix.

Wallpaper changed to something blue with yellow and blue dialog

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
