How to i disable DOS mode

Hi - Is this definitely a Mac? Usually being stuck in DOS only happens with non-Macs.

If a mac, could you tell me what you're seeing on screen while in "DOS mode". for example, screen color, text color, any messages or prompts?

Thank you - I'll be on the lookout for your reply

How do i access my Sony vaio webcam

Sony's Vaio laptop computer line includes the company's Motion Eye webcam and ArcSoft WebCam Companion software for Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. Located in the LCD screen's upper bezel, the webcam is positioned at face-level when seated at the computer and automatically tracks movement to keep subjects within the lens's field of view.

1.Click on the "Start" menu at the bottom left corner of your screen, choose "All Programs" at the bottom of the menu just above the search box.
2.Scroll through the program list until "ArcSoft WebCam Companion" is located. Alternatively, you may type "WebCam Companion" in the search box to locate the program.
3.Click on the WebCam Companion icon to open the program. The program window will open, offering choices of Capture, Record, Monitor and Edit. Capture is used to take still pictures individually or in a series, Record is used to record videos, Monitor records videos when motion is detected and Edit allows editing of previously recorded videos.
4.Choose the webcam function you wish to use by clicking the icon. The appropriate screen will open, activating the webcam and displaying the camera view on-screen. The on-screen view will display what is within the field of the webcam lens, allowing you to adjust the LCD screen or your position before beginning webcam functions.
5.Click the webcam function according to the mode you have chosen. Functions in Capture mode include Capture or Burst, Record in the Record mode, Monitor in the Monitor mode and Snap Shot or Edit Video in Edit mode. When you have completed your webcam activity, the program automatically saves your video or snap shot within the program to be accessed, viewed or edited at a later time.

I hope you find it very helpful. Thank you for using fixya.com

How do i change the camera on the computer to video instead of picture?

the video mode is only working when you activate it on a recording mode The AMcap from the start all programs does that ..
when you open it from My computer ..all it does is taking picture...
you can also use the recording mode from the windows movie maker (a windows built program present in all programs ) ...and all you have to do is choose import from ...cam ..(webcam) ..
also the video mode is automatically activated when you use it in a instant messaging program like windows live messenger or yahoo messenger ..or skype...in these cases is activated from the program itself..
You can use it in almost al capturing programs ..if you want to make a video capture...but ..either AMcap..(video capture) ..or windows movie maker ...will do the job just fine..

Wen i download a file and then try to open the file it just keeps sayin this program cant be run in dos mode how do i fix it

Does the file end in .exe?
It sounds like you have downloaded a Windows executable to a Macintosh system, and when you click on it it opens in the text editor, which displays the binary contents of the program, which usually contains the message "This program cannot be run in DOS mode."
Windows executables cannot be run on Macintosh computers unless you have also installed Windows, either under Boot Camp or under a virtual machine monitor such as Parallels or Fusion.
