I received an Anadigi GPS-206 for Christmas. It came with drivers, and a link in the instructions where other/updated drivers might be found. As nearly as I can tell, the device is functioning fine, but the driver needs the MS Serial Mouse driver to work... (it's a USB->Serial driver). Unfortunately, when I plug the device in, the cursor skips all over the screen, apparently randomly. It happens whether I boot with device plugged in, or as soon as I do plug it in. If I disable the serial mouse driver, the cursor stops jumping. But the GPS stops, too. What with all the fun and games, I can't really be sure the GPS is working properly. the link for the drivers is: http://www.prolific.com.tw/eng/downloads.asp?ID=31 I've been searching the Internet for the past week, and can't find any other drivers - nor even a forum where I might pose the question. So, I'm hoping you can either point me at a decent driver, or even tell me the device is ****. Any definitive answer is a good one. (I'm using Vista 64-bit, build 6002 on a Dell Studio 1735)

GPSdetected as a Serial-Mouse, Mouse Pointer jumping crazy. How to disable theSerial Mouse in Win OS: Some Windows OS (2000 or XP ....) will detect the usb GPS Receiveras a Serial Mouse. The mouse pointer keeps jumping crazy. It seems it is the USB Com-port conflictproblem. Some software will occupy the com-port even you have disconnected itshardware USB Cable. Uninstall all unused USB Devices' Driver. Even after un-install those not necessary USBDevice Driver, some may still occupy a com-port. Open the Window System Managerlogin the hardware table. If you found some com-ports are occupied by some unknowndevices just delete it. After that re-install the PL2303 driver: (USB to Serial Bridgedriver: http://www.prolific.com.tw/eng/downloads.asp?ID=31 ) Then test the GPS Receiver in differenceUSB port. (Don't use a USB Port Splitter.) If the problem still there you can go tothe following links to find more information: http://www.realgeek.com/forums/disabling-serial-mouse-detection-317120.html http://forum.gpsgate.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4131 http://forum.gpsgate.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5222 http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=76421

Hi soami696,

To update the software for your unit, free of charge, follow these instructions:

1. Go to http://www.garmin.com/products/webupdater, and download WebUpdater to your computer.

After confirming that you want to the update, WebUpdater will automatically download the update and install it on your device.

Reboot your GPS receiver, and you should have the latest updated software from Garmin.
