This most likely comes from the Unit being banned before the sale, which would also explain why it was sold. You will need to contact Xbox Live customer support to find out what your options are. They may be able to clear the block in the system, but if the Xbox has been modified (which is a big reason consoles get banned), you may have to take it in to a service dept to correct the issue.

My xbox is banned from xbox live

If you made a new account for yourself and it wont work, try to delete the old ones. If that doesn't work, contact customer support and see if they can tell why it's banned and if you can have it removed as you are not the original owner.

I hate to say it but theres really nothing you can do. You can try to replace your disc changer or make sure all the screws are tighten up because that can result in a ban

I bought a xbox 360 on ebay but its banned on live what do i do?

You have probably being sold a modded Xbox 360 which got banned by Microsoft as it disables the console being played on the Xbox Live Service, please check on your local Ebay site if they offer any buyer protection on the product you have purchased, in case you feel you have got cheated by the seller.

If not you would only be able to play copied (Pirated) games on your Xbox 360

Fixing my 360 that has been banned from live

XBox Live is down today June 16th, 2009. It'll be down until either late tonight or early tomorrow. There is maintenance being done on the servers.

If you tried it any other day then yesterday or today and it still won't connect then there is a good chance it's banned. Once a console is banned the only way to un-ban it would be by replacing a chip on the motherboard from a different XBox 360.

hi ppl,

Check the codes on xbox live more info panel pay particular attention to the z code. At the moment I am getting Z - 0000-0000 which is fine it just means that xbox live servers are down however if you have the codes 8015-190D I'm afraid you have been banned however don't shoot the messenger please.

We're all not connecting at the moment.

Xbox 360 Cannot access Xbox Live

My son had the same problem with his xbox 360 and xbox 360 support told me that the prior owner did something illegal and the console has been banned permanently.

We are trying to get xbox 360 support to remove the code.
