Dear
you have to uninstall the sound driver , by going to device manager , and then uninstall the audio and also uninstall realtek or whatever you have software installed , and then try a new download and install it good
if this didnt work dont be sad i have the best solution but first you have to do this
Do you have a Volume icon (little speaker) in
the system tray by the clock? If not, reinstall the soundcard drivers.
If you do, open up the sound app and see if it is muted somehow.
install a new operating system using dark edition win xp profetional and install the given board drivers and then try. if not you try to check where the pin is to be inserted and see if it is loose then try the person who nows electronics to fix it back for you
Check the TV audio output setting. There may be 3 settings for audio output. Fixed/variable/none. Try all of the settings, and see if you get your audio back. If not, try a different cable between the TV and DVD player. I suspect this is a red/white RCA audio cable.
if you are using windows xp operationg system, use system restore, to restore your system seting by choosing start menu, all programs, asccessories, system tools, system restore. then pick the date where your soundcard was work fine, let your pc restart. done.
