Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U Plasma TV Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jan 03, 2011

How are you? Good I hope. I recently purchased a Panasonic TH-P50U20A plasma and got a Soniq T500-AU HD Personal Video recorder for Christmas. I already had a Panasonic SC-PT470 DVD Home Theatre Sound System. I have hooked it all up and when I watch TV through the surround sound (dolby 5.1) the audio is delayed (lip syncing). I have attempted a number of things to rectify this but I have been unsuccessful. Is this something you can help with?

I'm experiencing this lip synch problem with the T500 too. Not only that, but the soniq firmware upgrade (from their site) doesn't work either. And not only that, but the unit won't record from the EPG, and timer record looks like it is unreliable as well. The frimware file was on their site a few days ago, now I can't find it. They're promising a new website (URL?) soon. I'm none too impressed. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Same problem here, the worst POS I ever owned. If you don't turn it to standby each night, it will start to go out of sync by the next day, and occasionally the picture and sound drops, the screen flickers, and it returns. And then it crashes, sometimes it is unable to restart for hours. EPG recording never worked. I've tried to update firmware, but it seems they still don't have an update since.

I am looking to purchase a spare parts for A Soniq model NO E32W13D-AU 32' HD LED LCD TV COMBO

Here is a good site for Soniq spares if yo know the part number:
http://soniq.com/au/spareparts/
Also eBay can be a good source for parts such as PCBs and they can be much cheaper than from the manufacturer.

How do l fix my Soniq T500 HD Twin Recorder, after recording shows? It comes up with File Size: O k and won't start up? It's a 500 GB hard drive.

Time to Format the drives and test the surface by writing zeros to every location. Or use security erase to test.
Easy & cheap to replace with a 1TB hard drive.
Remove drive and see if it's a ATA or SATA connector.

I have a panasonic viera TH-P50U20A. the t.v guide has disappeared & the screen is now blank. do i re-set? if so, how? i have looked through the instruction manual & tried to re-start t.v.

Check your input to the TV, and if possible connect it to a different TV and then try connecting a different input to your TV. If nothing works, the TV has developed some internal problems. This is then a case to be handled by a qualified service technician.

Just bought a 42" panasonic

On your remote, click menu, then setup, then external devices, then input labels. Here is a link for manual:

1080P video via HDMI generates awful interference

Your Plasma's native resolution is 720P. Go into the Blu Ray's output setup. you can choose 480p 480i 720p 1080i and 1080p. Set it for 720p that should clear up the issue. You may have to run Component directly to the TV since you only have 1 HDMI input and you can run Digital coax or optical to your AV receiver for audio. On a 50" TV the difference between 720p and 1080p using "GOOD" cables cannot be seen by the human eye. Above 50, yes it is noticeable.
Hope this helps.

Hooking Up Panasonic sc-ht670 home theater to Dish DVR 625 and Panasonic TH-42PHD7UY Plasma TV

You will need to run a set of audio cables from the TV1 output on the rear of the 625 directly to one of the three audio inputs on the surround system. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
