Hi

If you hear its 'grinding' then that's good - problem is where is the ground coffee going or supposed to go??
Check there is no build up of damp/dried coffee grinds in the pathway between grinder and brew unit - this can happen if the machine is not properly cleaned say every 3 mths or more often depending on usage - coffee 'dust' can build up.

Also suggest remove all beans from grinder, vacumn last ones out. clean all around grinder opening. Add a dozen or so beans to the grinder, turn on and try again. If the beans disappear, its grinding properly. If they don't end up in the brew unit, then the hold up is as I said in that pathway - grinder to brew unit. If you cant see an obvious blockage/build up, suggest you have a tech look at it.
Cheers
Mike

SOURCE: Coffee beans will not grind

Your machine will probably need service. The water will cause damage to the grinder burrs.  I can send you instruction on how to clean out the grinder on a Vienna if you provide me will your email address. You can email me at [email protected].

You are not the first person to do this. These problems come in at least once a week.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Coffee Beans Empty - but the hopper is full!

Caffeind...the problem is likely still some bean remnants stuck in a switch which is causing the problem. Get some newspaper and open it up on a flat surface. Invert the grinder and give it a couple of thumps on the newspaper. The chips should loosen up and fix it. Remember, beans are both sharp in shape and oily in makeup...perfect for getting stuck.

SOURCE: No coffee brewing with beans, but with coffee brewing with ground coffee.

It is possible that the grinds chute is blocked, remove the brew unit and check the chute from the grinder chamber, make sure that it is not blocked with coffee grounds.

Miele CVA 4085, the grinder is not grinding the beans. It makes the noise but basically water just comes out with very little coffee.

Here are some specific steps you can take to try to repair the grinder issue with your Miele CVA 4085 coffee machine:
  1. Clean the grinder: Remove any coffee grounds that may have accumulated in the grinder mechanism, and clean it thoroughly with a brush or cloth.
  2. Check the grind burrs: Inspect the grind burrs for any signs of wear or damage, such as chips or cracks. If they are worn, they may need to be replaced.
  3. Adjust the grind setting: Make sure that the grind setting is adjusted correctly for your type of coffee beans. If it is set too fine, the grinder may struggle to process the beans.
  4. Check the grinder motor: Make sure that the grinder motor is functioning properly and that it is not overheating. If it is making a strange noise or if it seems to be struggling to turn, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
  5. Reassemble the grinder: Make sure that the grinder mechanism is properly assembled and that all components are securely fastened.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to have a professional service the machine.

I have a Miele CVA 4070 that stopped grinding beans.

I have had this happen with Franke commercial grind and brew makers. The way to fix it is to push the handle of a wooden spoon down into the bottom of the hopper when it starts to grind. We had a batch of coffee beans that were prone to sticking across the bottom of the hopper. I figured it was something to do with the bean, the roast and the oil.

My Miele coffee maker only dispenses dirty water -- the coffee grinder grinds, but actual coffee never comes out. Help!!

I am guessing the waste basket is empty as well. you may hear the grinder turning but it sounds like no beans are being fed or something is stopping them from falling in the chute - another possibility is the coffee chute (after the grinder) is plugged up as well - sometimes using an oily bean ( dark and shiny) will do this
you can sometimes clear it from the ground coffee chute above the brew unit - but take care not to damage or cause injury to yourself or the unit

Grinder spins. Hopper is full of beans. Why is no ground coffee dispensed?

You will probably find that the grinder is bunged up with grounds. This can happen if there is a bit too much steam inside the housings. The grounds bind together and will not drop with gravity. Pull the grinder apart, clean it out then run it with the top housing off and see if you can observe any leaks/steam. There will be some steam, you are looking for excessive steam.

The grinder is not working

Likely causes are grinder has burnt out or temperature cut-out for Grinder has blown. Either can be replaced as a spare from Miele.

The grinder is not working. Only water is coming out.

Basically coffee is not being ground. Likely causes are grinder is faulty or temperature cut-out for Grinder has blown. Either can be replaced as a spare from Miele. Note: A possible cause for Grinder not working is that the carbon brushes are worn away preventing electrical contact. Unfortunately Miele does not sell brushes as a spare part.

I owe the miele CVA4075 BUT my whole bean grinder is not grinding the bean and only water gets dispensed, anyone have a solution?

Make sure the hopper is working correctly to see if there are any blockages, then check under the hopper to the opening where the beans go to the grinder. My guess is that there are a few beans and chipped portions of beans which are clogged under there.

Water in bean dispenser/grinder

Hi,

If you look at the bean hopper you will see two screw, loosen this and take off the bean hopper. Now you will see the grinder, you have to take of the adjustment on the side, that plastic on the grinder.

Now you can turn the ring anticlockwise, and take out the middle of the grinder.

Let me know if you wondering about anything
