The probe is put into the oven to sense heat and to prevent the oven from oveheating during normal operation. the reason the probe is beeping is because it's dislogged or needs to be replaced.

the only way to make the beeping stop is to disable it but i wouldn't recommend it.

have a technician run a diagnostic on the stove. sounds like the probe needs to be replaced.

Our KitchenAid Electric Range display panel keeps indicating to set probe temp (and beeps every time) when probe is not even plugged in oven. When placing the probe in the oven jack it feels very loose. ...

Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Kitchen aid KGRA 806 PSS The " probe temp" words and icon feature on our Kitchenaide KGRA 806 PSS freestanding gas stove/oven will suddenly start to beep and flash.

Hi,

This is a common issue and cannot be troubleshooted. The only way to fix this is to replace the temperature probe. The error will disappear and the range would start working fine.

Temperature probe guide won't quit beeping

you have a bad computer board or clock assy. same thing the most common thing that cooks the board is heat and usually from self cleaning the oven, next time send the model number,if this is a slide in stove under the oven door is a drawer, open it and look at the frame, you'll see a tag with model and serial numbers,if that functions by itself you have a bad board.

Have a kitchenaid superba part no. 4450786A with the probe indicator beeping for a temperature to be set. Prior to beeping started just used microwave to warm food; didn't need or use probe. What is...

Put the probe in the oven and beeping stopped. Left it in overnight and next morning took the probe out and there was no beeping. Have not heard beeping all day. Don't know why this worked but it did.

Front control panel shows "Remove Probe From Oven" & Beeps.

I have the issue as well, seems like when I use the convect. feature. I have not called to have it serviced yet, but I have found that opening the oven door and truning the fan on for a few minutes, corrects it. At least until you turn it off again.

Remove probe from oven

most electric ovens have a temperature sensing probe inside of them. this is to prevent the oven from overheating and causing a fire. the reason why it's asking you to do that is because it's either dislogged from its place or it need to be replaced.

KitchenAid superbra range KGST307

I am not a repair man or anything, just an owner with the same gas range slidein appliance. What we have found to work was 1) plug in the probe into the socket in the oven 2) Turn on oven with the probe set at the minimum 160 degrees. and oven temperature to 325 degrees. 3) click start 4) wait for oven to reach probe temperature. 5) oven will then beep show end 6) Click cancel 7) open door and remove probe. 8) wait five minutes before trying to use again. I hope this helps you it has work for us so far. 6)
