If you ignore it when it asks if you want to set up wireless, and key in 'NO' it will be fine. How to stop it from asking each time you turn it on, I'm yet to find out!
Are you setting up this printer on wireless network and you dont remember the WEP key its asking to you enter ? ( HP Printers do not have Security Code )
IF you are Setting the printer on wireless network and forgotton your network Security key, download the HP network diagnostic utility and Run the program, it will provide you with the network details and the key
Select your operating system and download and run the network diagnostic utility and click on advanced tools on it, it will show you an option of retrieve wep key, click on that and get your wep key, you can also contact your network service provider to find this.
You can also find the wep key on the back of the router , where the model # is written.

Okay, first you will need to access your router (usually 192.168.0.1 or something like that) you will be asked for a user name and password. (adminpassword respectively if you never set these up previously)
From there you would click on Wireless Settings and scroll down to WEP Key. Whatever is typed in Key 1 is your WEP key. Write that down. Plug in those numbers for your printer and you should be go to go.
To get your wireless network key, do the following steps:
1. Open Internet Explorer, on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 2. There's no username and type admin on the password. If admin didn't work, use your own password. 3. When you have the Setup Page open, click on Wireless Tab, then click on the sub-tab Wireless Security. 4. There you can see the Security Mode. If the mode is set to WEP, the WEP Key 1 is your wireless key. If the mode is set to the WPA-Personal, the Passphrase or the WPA Shared Key is your wireless key/PIN.
