HE2T front load washer F28 flashes machine is locked clothes inside cannot open help

    Hi, My HE2t front load washer locked, i manuelly unlocked it, clean out drains, hoses, unplug and repluges electrical, it powered up went through it's cycle until the last few minutes, then would not unlock, or finish draining, also the drum would not rotate, but the belt is intact...so i am assuming it is the drum motor and or the pump motor...about how much would these cost to replace and where could i purchase them? Any advice would be greatly apperciated!

The error code F28 means one or both of these parts are bad.
Motor Control Unit (8540135)
Microcomputer Machine Control Unit (8540788)

It would be a good idea to order both, as both components have been problematic for
error code F28

    You can remove the bottom panel or toe kick. There are 3 screws at the bottom edge holding that panel. Once you remove the panel there's a manual door release. On my unit, it was on the side of the door latch (not the door hinge), and it required a slight tug. Good luck

Not good! Probably motor control board or motor or wiring harness from control board to motor.

The machine is locked and can't open with clothes washed inside,. Add garment light is on and the time is flashing'
Whirlpool-made Front Loading such as the Kenmore Elite washing machines use a door lock and switch assembly having a tab that can be pulled manually for emergency opening of the door. This tab can be accessed with the removal of the lower front access panel. Disconnect power to the washer and drain the water from the tub before accessing it. The door is locked and cant get clothes out or washer to run. says f28
you will have to call a tech f28 is a control board failure, or if you are lucky and you have the anti flood hose, to your machine..i would remove them and put standard hose on the unit

Hi,
"F28" means your washer is locked and not unlocking. To unlock your washer take the bottom access panel off by removing the 3 bottom screws. Reach up near the latching assembly & attached to the door latch is a little plastic pull lever. Pull down on this lever and open the door. Unplug your washer for 60 seconds and plug your washer back in. If the error re-occurs you need to replace your door lock.

Every time I start my Kenmore HE2t washer there is
If it has a clean cycle that says, "Bleach Only," run it with 1/2 cup bleach right in the machine. If not, run it on the longest, hottest cycle you have. In the future, leave the door open slightly between loads.
