I can hear a soft squealing noise when my Roady is in the home dock. Also it starts changing stations randomly by itself. Any suggestions?

If you're using XM Direct to input channels, press the select key after tuning to the channel. If you're not, perform a factory reset. The squealing noise is because of interference with your speakers, it's normal (unless you don't hear any music).

Speakers bose docking station make a noise

Have two Bose docking stations and the oldest (white) one have some problems now. When I put in one of my iPods in the docking, the speakers make some weird, creaky noises. Kind of a sound, when I'm looking for a channel on the radio. When I wiggle a little bit the connector from the docking station, it will play some music for a short time. Still it is not the same quality sound, it used to be. Also, some times the sound is too loud and when I touch ONE time the volume minus (-) button, you can hardly hear the music, it is too soft. Hope somebody can solve this problem.

I have an older model radio.. Delphi Roady 2.. gets powe to the docking station to the removalable unit but screen display will not light up.. any suggestions???

Probably the cheapest solution is to buy a used Roady2 off online bidding service like ebay and then pay the $15 to XM to switch radios. Delphi no longer makes Roady2. Probably could not repair for a cheap as you can buy used radios (around $25).

My roady xt does not have a fm select option on the menu

You need to have it in the AUTO base/cradle - AND - you cannot have anything plugged into the LINE OUT or AUX OUT jack, as it will disable the FM transmitter. Try unplugging the audio output, then you'll be able to select the FM transmitter again. I believe that they removed the option from the HOME cradle/dock all together because of regular AM/FM radio stations complaining to the FCC that the transmitters were too strong (in other words, they wanted to hurt satellite radio competition or slow it down as much as possible by forcing Sirius and XM go back and redesign their radios for a much weaker or NO FM transmitter).

Does not work when docked in boombox, not getting

the "reactivate" did not take in it's entirety, try calling sirus/XM again and see if they will "reboot it again, this time try having it the docking station within antenna "range", and both should "reboot", let me know if this fixes the problem, if not I have some friends there I can call, and we'll go from there, god bless and happy 4th......

Roady xt Antenna Problems

when it reads antenna it means there something wrong with either the connection or the antenna itself, it could be the location of the antenna or the antenna is going bad. if there is no obstructions on the car blocking the antenna i would advise purchasing a new antenna. you can get one at http://shopdelphi.com/consumers/satradio/xpressrc/

Noise with casette adaptor

Well Jill the problem you are having is called inducted noise. The lighter power adapter cord is inducting electrical current to the cord used by the cassette adapter thus creating the the noise you've been hearing. Do your best to separate the two cables as much as possible. I realize that your unit may have both cords coming out of th same side, and that's fine. the longer the run of wire, the easier it is to have induction issues. If the cords do come out on the same side, run one up and the other down away from the other cord. Do not coil the lighter adapter or cord either, it increases the chance of being able to induct noise. If your unit is to close to the lighter assembly you may need to move the unit to another location in the vehicle itself to help combat the noise issue. Other options include to shield the cassette adapter wire, i use aluminum tape for heating/ac ducts. The only other option i can see is purchasing a FM modulator which will transmit the units sound wireless-ly through an FM radio channel. You will want to check and see...i do believe most XM radios have a FM modulator built in. Hope this helps, and good luck.
