You can here the dryer timer working but can not turn it on. When you push in the timer to turn dryer on nothing happens

Popping sounds are normally due to water and electrics. You need a service engineer.

door switch or timmer or the knob on the timer may not be turning the timer

DOOR SWITCH

Check your door switch and wires to see if they are damaged first.You may have a bad Start Switch.If it is a 2 wire switch you can tape them together and then plug in dryer ,if it starts,replace the Start switch. Please Rate this!
