Question about Dometic RM2652 Refrigerator

Rv fridge problems

I have an older rv fridge I think is a Dometic, but it says Magic Chef on it. It is an 1989. The freezer works but the fridge does not. I am also getting the dreaded amonia smell.

I have a dometic 2 door refridgerator and it has been working weel and then when I went to open the door it smells horrible like amonia and a couple of soda cans inside exploded, now it wont run and when you try to run it with doors closed it has a horrible amonia smell. Is it easily fixable or is it simply time to replace? Are these repairable?

Dometic RM2652, freezer gets cold but fridge will not get cool at all. got same runaround from Dometic, not under warranty....

Have a dometic rm2852 fridge . does not switch over from 110 volt to gas automaticlly. it will click but not ignite. can you help?

I'm not sure what the problem may be but you could try calling All Seasons RV Appliance Parts & Service. There number is 1-800-344-0673 they have helped me in the past. That and there tech calls are free so it wouldn't hurt to give them a call.

Magic chef gas/electric rv fridge freezer gets cold but fridge dosn't

Mod. R47 gas RV fridge 1973. It lights and gets cold (sometimes below freezing in the bottom of frige) then it starts to warm up above 55, but the flame is still burning high. I try to turn it down with the fridge thremostate and it stays the same. Is it the thermostate? If so where can I order one?

Tuna, it sounds like your thermistor is bad. Once the fridge reaches 40 degrees, the thermistor is supposed to tell the board to stop cooling and maintain. You can test it with an Ohmmeter.
