Ok. sorry about the delay. Just started back to work. :)

If you are having trouble with your player, the first thing to do is what is called a hard reset. This is where you disconnect the player from the wall socket for 30 mins, then reconnect. If there were any lockup issues, this will clear them.
If the player still does bot work correctly, you can try to clean the laser lens. to do this you will need

1. to take the lid off the player, load and unload a disc so you can see where it loads to. Sometimes, you also have to take off another internal cover that contains the tray and laser assembly.
   
2. Eject the disc, and switch the unit off with the tray out. Makes it easier to get to the lens.
   
3. Look for a small clear lens that is next to the platter that the disc sits onto when it loads.
   
4. Using a cotton bud moistened with Windex(glass cleaner) gently clean the lens using circular motion. after cleaning, gently polish the lens with a dry cotton bud to be sure that there is no residue, or smearing.
   
5. Turn the unit on again, the drawer will shut, open the tray and load another disc. If the unit was not working because of dirt on the laser lens, it will now work.
