Bleach is eating holes in my clothes. With top loaders, the bleach is mixed in with water before clothes are added.. seems that with front loaders the bleach is just being deposited directly onto clothes?

We have a bleach dispenser in our new LG washing machine .. however it just has a hole in the bottom and goes straight into the wash drum ... is ther something missing ?

There are two LG styles. They function the same way. If you overfill, the bleach will dispense immediately or when you slide the tray into position. See LG video link for what they should look like. I suspect you're missing the top cover for the bleach section.

I have owned our washer for seven years Why doesn't the bleach dispenser empty?

is it a front loader or top loader? what is the model number? normally you have 3 or more water inlet valves 1 for cold water, 1 for hot water and one for either fabric softener and or bleach, id say (without any specific info) that it is simply a jammed/faulty water inlet valve, or if its a front loader you often get this problem if the water pressure isn't high enough to create the siphon in the dispenser, i dont know why they set up the softener dispenser on front loaders as a siphon when the pre and main wash just wash through normally

My clothes stink so bad from my front end LG washer! My co-worker on my first week of work started buying bath and body sprays and body wash leaving it on my desk. I'm so pissed off because my washer was...

My LG stunk too. I did the tub washing with 1 cup bleach and wiping the rim, leaving everything open, nothing worked. I added 2 cups of a 6% bleach and used the tub cleaning cycle, rinsed with an empty hot water cycle then added bleach-able clothes to the 2nd hot water rinse (the third cycle/step). It gets a very strong bleach smell so don't take a whiff if you open the door in the first 2 cycles! After I did the strong bleach cycle, I am able to treat with just the 1 cup bleach about every 3 or 4 weeks and I make sure to wash with a hot water wash every week and a half at the least. This seems to keep my clothes smelling fresh like they should. Before I bought the LG, I read where people turned up the amount of water the washer takes in but I can't find the link that said how to do that. I think it was 1/4 turn on a screw on the top of the machine (when you take the cover off) but I can't guarantee how to do that.

Bleach is spilling directly on to clothes

I have the same problem and here is the reason and the solution. When you add bleach it sits in the dispenser until the rinse cycle. During the rinse cycle the machine pours a lot of water through the dispenser. The bleach is diluted and washed out with all this water into the tumbler and you clothes are rinsed with bleach. Sometimes when this rinse happens, the water does not completely drain from the bleach dispense. It sits in there. If this happens, the next time you add bleach, there is too much liquid in the dispenser and it leaks out onto your clothes.
Solution: Before you add bleach, take the whole dispenser out and see if there is a lot of water still standing in the bleach dispenser section. If there is a lot of water, spill it out into a sink. Then fill the dispenser with your bleach and it will all work out the way it should. I was having your same problem until I discovered this. I have never had the problem since.

Facia panel keeps breaking/bleach ruins clother/water level too low and doesn't clean well

Do not use bleach, if you do you will get a bleaching effect, the new machines use less water, do not volume overload machine. mix the load to prevent uneven out of balance spin and check feet are level. Ragrds Advisor
