Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

you should have a electrician work on your wiring, with luck no further damage has happened, E61 means you have the neutral and the L2 wire either reversed or in the wrong position.

ENTER TEST MODE SEQUENCE by doing the following . 1.Disconnect the power for 30 seconds.
2.Reconnect the power and within 30 seconds press the sequence of buttons listed below.
3.Press the "SIGNAL"button.
4.Press the "DELAY START"button.
5.Press the "SIGNAL"button.
6.Press the "DELAY START"button.

Now after you have fixed the reveresed wiring problem you will need to remove the fault code fromt he memory otherwise the machine will not work. To remove the fault code do the following ENTER TEST MODE
SEQUENCE (cont.)
You will notice "t01". To choose the test mode that you want toverify, turn the knob to the desired test mode setting.
Push the start/pause button. To cancel the test mode, press on "power".
You will be able to choose another test mode and again press on "start/pause".
The display error codes test allows the service technician to examine and clear the fault log.
DISPLAY ERROR CODES TEST
(t02)
The display error codes test allows the service technician to examine and clear the fault log.
The control shall display the most recent error in the fault logupon entry into the display error codes test. If there are no errors in the fault log, the no error code "E00"shall be displayed on the 7-segment display.

The control shall clear the displayed error from the fault log if the start key is pressed during the display error codes test. After clearing thedisplayed error from the fault log, the appliance shall display the next most recent error from the fault log.

After clearing all errors from the fault log, the control shall display the no error "E00"code on the 7-segment display.
The control shall log the last 8 error codes in the non-volatile memory stored in a circular list.

The control shall avoid logging multiple instances of the same error code. now unplug the appliance for about 30 seconds and replug and everything should be fine.

I have a Frigidaire Affinity electric dryer model number FASE7021NW0. It suddenly began giving error code E61. I called frigidaire. they said it was likely a shorted wire and put me in contact with an

I appreciate your post, Doug Anderson! From the information you have provided your Frigidaire dryer is displaying an error code of "E61". "E61" stands for heater relay failure which could be a problem with wiring, heater relay, or main control board. I would recommend performing a reset on your dryer and you can do that by disconnecting the power cord for ten minutes. This should help clear out any potential false error codes. Hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Why is my dryer beeping and showing E60?

The last alarm code memorized can be displayed even if the appliance is in normal operating mode (e.g. while the drying programme is being performed): - Press (start/pause) and first option button simultaneously for at least 5 seconds: the display shows the last alarm. The alarm sequence continues to flash as long as the two buttons are held down.
The appliance continues the cycle while the alarm codes are being displayed. If the appliance is in programme selection mode, the options previously selected are stored in memory.

E60 is family fault code but after reading last alarm you will see exactly fault code (E61; E62; E63)

E61 - Insufficient heating (maximum time exceeded)
  • Heater unit faulty
  • Wiring faulty
  • NTC sensor incorrectly calibrated/out of position
  • Electronic board faulty
E62 - Power reley to heater unit faulty
  • Heater unit faulty
  • Wiring faulty
  • Electronic board faulty
E63 - Intervention of auto-reset thermostat on the heater unit
  • Thermostat faulty (replace heater unit)
  • Heater unit faulty
  • Wiring faulty
  • Electronic board faulty

Coad e61 will not clear by sig-time-sig-time and give me t01

Unfortunately you have a bad computer board that needs to be replaced. Apparently, a grounded fault found it's way there. I have seen this problem before and GE has a potential design flaw because too many machines are displaying this Error Code!!! I would Most definitely check with them and register a WRITTEN complaint!

Electrolux

Hello Curtis - Typically, error code E61 indicates a Heater Relay failure. At first the heater was grounded, and now possibly the heater relay. When the heater grounded it could have shorted the relay as well. Generally it is a good idea to have a professional take a look at it to get to the root cause. Cost of parts and technical expertise entailed in these types of replacements can be a bit tricky.

Error code e61

Identification
  • GE dryers use three-character codes that display on LCD screens. Every code starts with "E" and is followed by a two-digit number.
Power Failure
  • When your home loses power, the "E01" error flashes on the screen. Reset the dryer memory by unplugging the device, waiting 30 seconds and plugging it back in. The error code will disappear.
Thermistor Errors
  • Errors "E02," "E03," "E04" and "E05" are thermistor errors. The thermistor, when operating properly, reads the temperature of the dryer. Errors E02 through E05 indicate the thermistor must be replaced.
Effects
  • When there is an error with the door switch and sensor, the "E60" error code will appear. An unbalanced door will produce the E60 code. Try to close the door gently and listen for the click. If the error remains, the door switch may need to be replaced.
Control Board Errors The control board sends signals from the controls to the dryer. When this fails, errors "E61," "E80" and "E81" appear. Contact GE service or install a new control board for the dryer

Brand new Frigidaire Electric Dryer gives Error E61. Store brought out another identical dryer with same result. Help please!

The problem is not with the dryer as confirmed by the other identical dryer brought by the dealer. The problem is in the wiring of the receptacle where the dryer is being plugged in as characterized by error code E61 which means the control board is receiving a high voltage. The dryer operates both on 110VAC for the controls including the motor and 220VAC dedicated for the heating circuit. The receptacle must be configured according to the specifications of the dryer. Refer to the diagrams below and configure the receptacle according the plug that came with the dryer. Voltage across L1 and L2 is 220VAC, L1 and Neutral is 110VAC, L2 and Neutral is 110VAC.

Code E61

I have the same problem, and it might be due to the fact that your dryer operates off a voltage that your house is not providing. Your dryer might need 220 volts and is only receiving 110 volts. That may be why it powers up but nothing works but the light when you open the dryer door. It needs more power to run the rest. Look into changing the voltage on your receptacle in your house to 220 volts to properly operate your dryer. Good luck!
