My cyclop-1 won't turn on and I can see nothing through it at all

The Cyclop-1 is Russian manufactured. Go to Night Vision Optics web page and see if they have manual on this one eyer to down load. As far as parts go, They will not sell you parts. I really doubt if they have parts. What parts are you seeking for this Cyclop? GB...stewbison

This is by design. You can replace it with a toggle switch from radio shack. You will need to know how to solder.

That's normal, its high and low. Just like your car headlights dual filimanets avoid the need for 2 separate bulbs/lights. As long as one comes on/off separate and then the unit turns off its working fine unless the manual says they are supposed to turn on at the same time but I doubt it.

Unfortunately the old Cyclop is no more. Repairing night vision is very expensive. There are newer better models available for the cost of the repair if it were possible. Yukon make a great monocular the Seawolf. I still have a Cyclop but the Seawolf kills it for view and quality and its waterproof.

If by the "cyclops light" you mean the third brake light, I went to auto zone and purchased 6 ea. part number 858352 instrument panel connectors and added number 194 bulbs to them. All you have to do is pull (gently) on the cover and it will come off. It snaps in place. Twist the bulbs 1/4 turn ccw to remove, insert new assembly and voila, you're in business. The other brake lights are behind the carpet in the trunk. Be sure to remove the correct bulb or you will replace the turn/marker lamp and still have a brake light out. Good Luck.

high voltage lead going into side of tube has poor insulation dissasemble carefully by removing screws behind lens put thick layer of silicone around joint wher white high voltage wire enters tube wait for silicone to dry fully before turning back on
