The Broadcast Store sells the Service Manual for $99
http://www.broadcaststore.com/store/model_detail.cfm?id=810349
Too much, agreed.
I have one too, and would consider buying and copying to split the cost.
Might be slightly awkward to copy.
Most DPS documentation was very thorough.

Which delay timer do you have? 9 pin, 11 pin, etc?
What voltage are you using?
What is amp rating on timer?

Focus knob will not work

The focus knob turns on a threaded rod which passes through a focus lever, which is secured to the back of the primary mirror. The end of the rod where it passes through this lever is secured by 2 jam nuts, one of which has probably fallen off.
http://ngc1514.com/Celestron/disassem.htm

To fix this you will have to take the front corrector plate off, find the nut rattling around in there, and tighten it back onto the end of the focuser rod, as shown in the diagram. I'd use a little Loctite as well.
This is not difficult, and you can clean the inside of the corrector plate while you have it off. The only precaution is to mark where the corrector plate was, and replace it at the same orientation. Some opinion has it as being worthwhile to also get the secondary mirror centered on the corrector, and the corrector then centered in the end casting. An accurate rule or vernier calipers can be used. Don't tighten the screws on the corrector plate retaining ring much more than hand tight.

Installed the timer last week, we have it to cut on at 4pm and shut off at 10pm, it will come on at the right time, and even shut off at the right time, but for the first time only, once it hits the 10pm...

Your clock motor is not correctly wired to the terminal block. Carefully review the connection diagram for the line and load leads and the timer clock leads. Somewhere in there you made a mistake when connecting the wires. If not there is a defect in the clock mechanism and you should replace it. For warranty information please refer to the instructions or the place you purchased it from for assistance.

Changing out the hot water heater timerswitch

Nema 1 means indoor-only enclosure or box.
For example Nema 3R is raintight for indoor-outdoor box, which is typical for outdoor swimming pool timers.

If you have water heater timer, open following page for common timers with images, manuals and wiring for each.

How to remove the corrector lens of a Nexstar 4

I would not try to remove the corrector plate-- the manual states to return the scope to Celestron if the inside of the corrector needs cleaning.

If removed the corrector has to be replaced in the EXACT position it was in before you took it apart-- the alignment between the front corrector plate and the rear mirror and the secondary mirror was done on an optical bench at the factory.

I doubt that will you notice or be able to see the small stain while you are observing--

Clock on Intermatic WH40 Timer Switch does not rotate

Timers are a waste of time . I would disconnect it and get rid of it. Water heaters nowadays are so energy efficient and the thermostats take care of when it heats and shuts off. Your timer might save you pennies a year!
