All right! Be relaxed! The deleted files on a camcorder are not actually destroyed immediately as we think. They still can be restored with the help of a data recovery program. So, act carefully to get these deleted videos back:
1. Stop using this camcorder right now in case that any new file on it may overwrite your videos.
2. Insert this camcorder to your computer.
3. Download a camcorder data recovery freeware to retrieve all your lost videos back.
This professional phone data recovery freeware has helped many people around me restore their inaccessible data off from a memory card or hard drive. It could be a good choice for you to go on.
Try to read more detailed information of this camcorder data recovery freeware here:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/03/memory-card-recovery.html

4. Do not save or back up all the restored data on the camcorder in case of any data loss
Good luck!

When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead. To recover deleted data you must rely on professional data recovery tool one such software i have personally used is Kernel for FAT and NTFS, it recover all your deleted data intact and without errors. U can also try dis software download it from the following url http://www.restoredeleteddata.net/. Demo version is free to try , using dem,o version you can preview the data recovered but to save it u have to buy the software.

Hi I have sony camcorder dcr sr42 and my vedios r deleted accidentally .after tht my frnd recorded a few .can still the deleted vedios be recovered ...please help those vedios were very important for me

It's probably permanently deleted but try plugging it into your computer and accessing the hard drive. You might see files in there that look like they are in a deleted state but not yet actually deleted because they haven't been overwritten yet. The file names might start with characters like $ or # or other characters besides numbers/letters.

Accidentally deleted video on camcorder...how do i

When files are deleted they still remain on camcorder hard drive and can be recovered, unless they have been overwritten by fresh data.

The only thing to do so run a data recovery program to see what can be recovered. The only program I have tested is asoftech data recovery software and it had done the job well. download the data recovery from http://www.asoftech.com/adr/

Select the drive where your files were deleted and then do a deep scan. It will find your deleted files.
