Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC20 Digital Camera
I have a DMC-LC Panasonic camera. I put new batteries in it and turn it on. It will immediately shut down. The camera is sensing the batteries are low and shutting down.
What is the solution. I don't want to send it in for repair because its older and not worth the repair charge.
Is there something I can do to adjust the sensor that tells the camera to shut down when the battery is low.
I'm sure its probably out of adjustment.

1. clean and adjust the springs in the battery compartment
2. use the right batteries, alkaline or NiMH, etc.

Why my camera keeps saying ‘change battery’ even with new batteries?

My DMC-LZ7 started having the same "please replace batteries" error a few weeks ago (bought in 2007). It only seems to happen with my NiMH rechargables, though they test as full-strength with a cheap battery tester. Alkalines don't cause the error and I haven't tried Oxyride (ZR6) batteries yet.
The camera has two battery-type settings (Alkaline/NiMH

If your panasonic camera uses a panasonic battery and you try to use a different brand equivalent battery, some panasonics will not work. Could that be your problem?
