Try unplugging unit, wait then plug in and try. That may reset it. If using S video maybe you should try using the reg video input and see if that helps
Go to Set Up, Press down arrow once - Enter-, right arrow once-Enter-, down arrow twice-Enter-left arrow once-Enter (this is the A/V Output menu).....or
go to Setup-Enter-down arrow five times-Enter-right arrow, then left arrow-Enter. (This is the factory Restore menu)
Try going to setup after restarting, i.e.,, hit setup, then hit the right arrow key once, then hit the down arrow key five times, hit enter, hit the left arrow key once, then hit enter, your display should return.

I have my television outputs connected to the inputs on the ILO. I then select that set of inputs with the SOURCE button rather then using the built in tuner. Make sure you connect the Video closest to the audio inputs(or... least confusing, try the three front inputs) Hook antenna to tv
1 Press Setup to enter the setup menu.
2 Press the up/down keys to select GENERAL, press enter, Use up/down keys to selet clock setting. press enter.
3 Move to the field to be edited using the up/down keys
4 use up/down keys to increase or decrease the value of the field.
5 To exit a field using the right/left keys
6 Press return to exit the clock settings menu.
Select time format from the menu and press the right arrow key. Use the up.down key to pick hour mode(12hr or 24 hr).
Thats the instructions from my manual.
I have a DVDR05 manuel (operations guide) and remote that works if you are interested contact me at [email protected] or call me 9796656614. My unit went bad and i already bought a new unit.
Just run your outputs from your cable to the ILO inputs, then your ilo ouputs to the tv inputs. Use Cable remote to control channels, use ILO source button on remote to access the correct input setting on ILO. AND YES< you have to do this EVERY TIME you turn the ILO on to watch tv.. I have mine hooked up this way to record from my convertor box and My husband hates it.(when he just wants to watch tv.)
Can you try just running a/v cable from your tv output to the inputs on the ilo, then whatever you watch on your tv you can record on your dvd burner. My new SDTV doesnt have audio out except Coax so this won't work for me on that tv. Why doesnt the newer tv's have audio AND video outputs???
To reset to user defaults for mu1 with no video:
1. turn on dvd with no disc
2. press "setup"
3. press "down arrow" 3 times
4. press "enter"
5. press "down arrow" 9 times
6. press "enter"
More than likely you changed from interlaced scan to progressive scan. If your tv does not sopport progressive scan there will be no video.
The default setting is interlaced scan.
To change from p-scan back to i-scan with no video picture, mu1 model:
1.turn dvd on with no disc, wait 10 sec.
2.press "setup"
3.press "down arrow"(selects audio/video)
4.press "enter" (selects audio/video menu)
5.press "down arrow" 4 times (selects scan mode)
6.press "right arrow" (selects scan menu)
7.press "up arrow" (selects interlace mode)
8.press "enter" (should see picture)
Or find a tv with p-scan capability.
Tried it already. I think it has to be reconfigured following a string of commands, but I can't see the screen commands!!
