Try one or more of the following:

  • Insert a charged battery/batteries.
  • Press the shutter/record button all the way down.
  • Transfer all pictures/videos to the computer, delete the copies on the camera, or insert another memory card.
See your User Guide for more information.

To conserve battery power, some cameras switch to a power-save or sleep mode after a few minutes of non-use. If your camera is sleeping, press any button to wake it up. For further instructions, see your camera User Guide or Extended User Guide at KODAK Product Manuals.

Then try to take a picture or video.

  1. If your camera is on, turn it off.
  2. Wait 10 seconds, then turn on your camera.
  3. Take a picture/video.

Make sure that the battery you just purchased is designed for a digital camera. Some batteries, although look the same, may not produce the voltage to power a camera. Look on the package and states it's for cameras.

Stops taking pictures

I have the similar problem, I turn on the camera and after the lens comes out , red light blink all this time, and suddenly it powers down without retracting the lens back in.
The battery are fully charged AA 2400mah / 2650mah Duracell at 4.0 ma with load test. I was wondering if there is any circuitry problem.? Any experts in digital camera electronics please respond? Trick: To bring back the lens back in for safekeeping i trik this, i turn it on while it is reading the memory etc and after a sec or two i turn the knob to off, this way lens goes back inside.
I have read other brands also have their cameras lens sticking out and never going back inside.

Lens will not open to take a picture

The first thing to try is new lithium ion batteries (Energizer Advanced or Duracell PowerPix) or quality rechargables. Battery type makes a difference with these cameras and regular alkalines (even new ones) often just don't cut it.

If it still doesn't turn on, or open up, press and hold the playback button [>] to start up the camera in Playback Mode (resets the lens).

If all else fails, the lens is probably jammed. If you bought it less than a year ago and saved the receipt, call Polaroid tech support and they may replace it. Be prepared to be without a camera for a few weeks.

DXG-506V LCD comes on Blank White Screen

I had the same problem ...I bought a new 2 GB SD card put it in the camera and it worked fine.

It may have had something to do with formatting ..I tried to format the other card wiyh my computer when the video camera would stay on.
I tried to reset the camera that didn't work either.
The new SD Card did work.

CANNON A520 POWER SHOT DIGITAL CAMERA

Tab on the camera. E18 is a stuck lens. This is common on this camera. I'm not saying this will fix it, but don't break it.
