Hi, We just moved into

Hi, We just moved into a new condo, and inherited a Maytag Neptune Stacked Washer/Dryer; the washer model is MHW2000. The washer (and dryer) work well, but once the washing cycle ends, some water remains outside the laundry bucket, caught in a pocket in the gasket between the bucket and the door. It just sits there, never quite drains, and thus, starts to smell. Is there any way of fully draining the water after the cycle? Thanks. Joe ****

On the bottom of the rubber seal, there is a drain hole. Check to see if it is clogged and clear it out if it has an obstruction.

Hello: I have a Maytag, do not know model # as I inherited the 5 year old model when I purchased a condo and it is now 7 years old. The front of it states Maytag - Dependable Use, Heavy Dtuty - Large...

I ALWAYS START WITH VENTING WHEN CALLED WITH LONG DRYING TIMES BUT I HAVE SEEN WHERE ONLY HALF OF THE HEATING ELEMENT IS WORKING, WHICH IS PRETTY RARE. A NORMAL LOAD WOULD BE WHATEVER THE WASHER HAD IN IT WHICH WOULD BE LOOSLY FILLED TO THE TOP ROW OF HOLES IN THE WASHER TUB. THE ONLY OTHER QUESTION I WOULD ASK IS IF THE WASHER SEEMS TO BE SPINNING OUT PROPERLY AND IF THE CLOTHES ARE GOING INTO THE DRYER TOO WET.

MLE2000 front load washer

Hi..I had the same problem yesterday...the maching would start when I pushed the button and then stop..I had to push the button again to get it going..My stacked set is around 8 years old.

Here's what we did..moved the washer away from the water source and unscrewed the water intake lines..there is a little screen there...took the screen out of both hot and cold lines..one screen has some debris in it..the other was almost completely blocked..we are on a well and sometimes dirt..etc..gets in the lines..

Today no problems doing the laundry..its working like new..

Stacked Maytag Neptune - Accessing Inertial imb/Upper tub disp Switches

The switches you are referring to are set-reset. These rarely have a fault. Normally the machine control board is the faulty component. How did you determine that these switches are faulty ?

The safest way to access the upper portion of the washer is to remove the dryer. Another method is to remove the "complete" washer front and the control panel. This will give you access to the top of the washer tub.
