Hi I have the same problem with my RCA D52W20, I went to the link you provided to purchase a flyback, there is #259296, but it does not specify that it is for this model, #265409 says it is a substitute for #259296. Is there a difference? Also, I can not find a link on their website of where I would get instructions on replacing it..
If your model number is the D52W20 RCA the 259296 is the flyback that your model uses. They just dont list all the models that the 259296 uses. The 265409 is the same flyback but for GE models the mounting tabs are a little different but they are both the same elctrically but the 259296 is for the ITC222 chassis which is the D52W20. They dont have a link for flyback instructions what they do is sign you up for instant messageing when you order a flyback so they can explain the proceedure while youre doing the repair, as a flyback is simply unsolder the old and solder in the new. It takes only a few minutes to do the job.
Most of the people that I have helped have found that the flyback along with changing the HOT transistor which is 2SC5588 does the trick. In the rare cases that dont, the site I posted has free tech support so they help them diagnose the problem further in the event that the flyback and HOT doesnt fix the issue. I am one of their repair techs so they have fixed alot of those RCA ITC222 chassis just with the flyback.

Great thanks.. I was reading a few other posts with this problem and they say it could be about 30 different things. Has anyone replaced the flyback and actually gotten the set to work again? Or is this just the 1st thing to try and then go from there to try and find the problem??
