Please disconnect and internet link and try to access the the Linsys WRT100 management page and see the logs why the router is loosing the connection. If you dont get anything then it might be some issue on the device. A reset may solve your issue.

Please be aware the if u reset the wireless Router you will loose all your configuration and you have to reconfigure the wireless Router.

Please press the tiny black button at the back/beneath of the wireless Router and keep pressing for 2 minutes. The sys light will start blinking slowly and then rapidly. then release the button and wait for 2 minutes for the device to boot up with factory default settings.

Once you are done you can connect to 192.168.1.1 ip address and it will open the your Linksys Router management web page where you can reconfigure your wireless router again.

Hope this will fix the issue.

Best Regards

Unbrick router e2500

If you installed dd-wrt for your new router firmware it's possible you installed the wrong firmware. In most cases, it's permanently bricked. If not, you can try the 30/30/30 method to reset the router to its original factory settings. That is
1. Unplug the router and press the reset button for 30 secs
2 plug in the router and press the reset button for 30 secs
3 unplug the router again and press the reset button for 30 secs

During the entire process keep the reset button depressed. It takes some good hand coordination. 20/20/20 always worked for me for all the linksys routers I've owned over the years.

Linksys E2000 keeps disconnecting

Disconnect the power from the linksys for about 30 seconds then plug it back and see if it stops dropping. Most times the dropping occurs if you turn the modem and router off at night then when you turn them back on the router boots up faster than the modem and that will cause it to drop. Power outages also will cause the problem if the router boots up before the modem.

If unplugging the router and waiting 30 seconds does not solve it then unplug both the modem and the router. Then plug the modem back in and let it boot up for a minute or two, then plug the router in and let it boot up.

Linksys wireless g wrt54g router connectivity drop: our linksys wireless router disconnects about every day. We are forced to unplug the router, wait 30 seconds, and then reconnect, which brings the...

Couple actually... 1. See if you can reset the router once and set it up once again. 2. Check if you can upgrade the firmware of the router. 3. To ensure this is not a wireless issue, go wired and check if the issue continues4. Also connect to the modem directly , bypassing the router to make sure its not the modem thats actually causing the trouble.

I'm trying to to use the wifi but it is asking for a wpa password and i can't find the wpa password

Perform a Linksys reset

The easiest method of resetting your Linksys router's password is to reset your router back to the default factory settings. This is done by simply holding down the reset button located on the back of the unit for at least 30 seconds. Once the router has been reset, it must be reconfigured. Using your web browser go to URL address http://192.168.1.1. You will then be prompted to login to your router. A log-in screen asking for the password will automatically appear. At this time enter the default password "admin", in lower case letters into the password field. The username field may be left blank at this time. (Note: both the default username and default password are set to "admin" on some of the newer Linksys router models).

Router setup
Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response
