Have a sony 46 inch rear projection model #kp 46wt510! Purchased it new in 2004! Have nothing but great things to say about picture untill today! I have a color seperation with red, whatever line or picture is showing has red under it! What is wrong with it and is it fixable without major repare?

Two things come to mind. !. are your cables plugged in right? Yellow->yellow, red->red, white->white? 2. Is the sound on the TV itself turned up?

Try to hard reset the TV that is Unplugg the device for 30 mins or an hour and then connect it back..It will help you essentially..!..Thank you..

If the convergence feature did not fix the issue then you will need to install a convergence repair kit. Your model uses the Sony type 1 convergence repair kit which is available from www.tvrepairworld.com and includes the parts and the CD with instructions.

Ur power supply it dead,must replaced,parts like capacitors puff up or whole power board.

This problem is due to failure of two convergence out ICs in TV that will be replaced to get correct picture.
If you can solder parts in circuit board and have necessary tools to do so, let me know exact model of TV to provide you more technical info or call local TV tech to replace convergence out chips.

KP46WT510 Shutdown 6 Blinks. 6 Blinks = Low B+ OCP/OVP
SOLUTION: Replaced Flyback transformer. It had no rings on the ringer test.

Comments: Any load on the B+ line can cause 6 Blinks.
Example: If the 200v line is loaded down will cause a drop in B+ due to bright picture current demand.

My KP-46WT510 picture is out of alignment. There is no conversion of the red, blue and green pictures on the screen. They're off by about an inch of each other.
Some tech told me that it was the power control that was bad. I can see the picture, just very blurred.
Is he right? The tv was not move at all before this started happening.

convergence ic's replace all 3 be carefull make sure to reapply the thermal compound to the heat sinks after cleaning the old stuff off stk's can be had from global

replace the convergence ICs post your model and I will post a link where you can get the parts and they include step by step instructions with pictures so you can do the repair yourself takes an hour and will save you about a 400 dollar repair bill.

i'm having a problem keeping the timer from going off and shutting the whole tv off.
