Hello,
Once your television blinks about 9 times then it means there is a problem somewhere most likely the lamp of the television. Another source of this problem is also a bad capacitor from either the main panel or the power panel.
If your remote turns off actually it is because there is nothing to operate on the television, so once your television starts the blinking light, the remote will not be able to operate the television, once you unplug the television and plug it back then press the power button, the remote will do the same.
Until the television is fixed is when the remote will work normally.
