MSI A6200-059US Laptop Logo

I purchased the MSI laptop one year ago from Office Depot. I don't use it all that often, but everytime I do and am typing on the keyboard the cursor jumps to a previous point in the text when a certain combination of keys are entered. It seems that after I type a "u" or a "y" the cursor jumps somewhere else. It makes no sense and is hugely frustrating. Are there any fixes for this bug?

Some keys in my msi laptop are not working.

Your keys might be broken in your keyboard. You can look online to see if you can purchase a replacement keyboard for your msi laptop, then see if there is a youtube video for the laptop model that you ow. It should show you how to take your laptop apart to install the new keyboard. Or, you can take it to a computer repair store, and ask them to install the new keyboard.

Hi I have a MSI U100 mini laptop - and the keyboard will not operate - the keyboard is not broken. any suggestions please?

Hi nick dunnmai,

Here are the things that you can try to diagnose the issue.

- Boot to "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" by pressing F8 (or F10..depending on the brand of the unit), if you can type from there, you are 100% sure that you're having software issue. In this case, you can perform virus scan, registry fix or reinstall the whole operating system.

- Replace the keyboard if it is not working in "Safe Mode". You can purchase a keyboard replacement or send back the unit to MSI repair center if still under warranty.

Hope this helps. Any comment is highly appreciated.

My acer 5620 is just i year old and my keyboard melted and i feel they should replace my laptop . what is a person to do

If you purchased the total notebook protection warranty with your notebook (and registered your extended warranty) any Acer repair depot should be able to send it to Acer for repair or replacement.

Unfortunately the standard one year warranty does not cover keyboards, or lcd screens.

Acer spacebar types bv why? how do i stop it?

Hello,

If it not under warranty I would suggest to open the laptop and reseat the Keyboard cable. Also it might just be that the keyboard is simply faulty - as the space bar is close to bv so maybe it was damaged some time ago. The last assumption I would have that liquid has been spilled onto the keyboard - It stuck bv and space together and everytime you type space, the key that are hooked with the dried liquid come down with it.

My MSi laptop curser types all over the place! WHY!

the qwerty keyboard onboard your laptop may be stuck from liquid spilled on it, and or you simply need a drivers update. start off by adding a backup qwerty keyboard that plugs in via usb to bipass the current issue at hand so you could trouble shoot the cause, to find a better solution, and or bringing it into a technician to replace the whole onboard qwerty keyboard on the laptop
